In reply to: [WooCommerce] Preventing bots adding one-stock items to cartLooks like that Slack server is dead.
So back to square one, I am still getting cart additions from other countries, so the big question is still out there: how could someone (likely a bot) bypass the “Add to cart” button restrictions?
Can they call the endpoint directly somehow?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Preventing bots adding one-stock items to cartThanks for the pages, abwaita.
Unfortunately, they are not relevant to my case, as:
– I am dealing with items being added to the cart (without placing an order), not fake orders being placed
– I do not have any fake users and fake users are not relevant in this case, as it is about adding items to cart
– looking at robots.txt is a bit of a wasted time, as any malevolent bot will simply ignore that fileI need to find out how, besides users clicking on the “Add to cart” button, can a bot place an item into the cart by bypassing the button.
Any hints specific to that are welcome, thank you.
I can see a WC Slack channel being advertised and so I will promptly pay a visit for any further advice.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hidden product categoriesThanks, abwaita. It was indeed unset so I have set it.
Even though, on that particular page, the Product categories are now visible and fully accessible, the bottom of the Product categories list in the Appearance -> Customise -> Menus is still hidden and inaccessible.https://snipboard.io/LGPEfo.jpg
https://snipboard.io/9Hp1YE.jpgI have been using that facility to manage our menus so it would be so good to have all the product categories also visible and accessible there.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hidden product categoriesI have just seen the HealthCheck plugin route to do a conflict test, which looks something to try on my end, will let you know.
Regardless, can you please let me know where I can find those Screen Options? I have looked everywhere in many WordPress and WooCommorce menus.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hidden product categoriesHi and thanks for your reply.
I cannot find those Screen Options, can you please let me know how to?
Wrt to the conflict test, unfortunately, I cannot do it as it is a live site.

In reply to: [Smart WooCommerce Search] latest update broke siteI can confirm this, too.
I disabled the plugin and now there’s the default basic search on the site, but at least it is back live.Just a thought, maybe if the plugin could have a behaviour toggle setting and had an option to use query parameter like (?lang=en) instead of rewriting the URL (/en_us/), probably that would work in the staging area, too.
I have tried setting up a staging environment with the WP Staging plugin, but your TranslatePress plugin breaks it and it renders WP Staging unusable.
(TranslatePress rewrites the staging URL so the staging server is inaccessible):
URL/staging/ -> URL/en_gb/staging/en_gb/
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks.- This reply was modified 3 years, 10 months ago by bonanzagroove.
Hi Cristian, thanks for getting back to me on this.
I have tried those two settings and also further settings on the same page above those, clearing cache after every set (and save), unfortunately, to no avail.
This is a live site and so, disabling plugins and switching to a different theme is a no-go.
I am thinking of a way to duplicate the site into a separate staging/testing environment so I can toggle those…Adding more details in the hope that they will help you guys troubleshoot.
A few screenshots of the original/default language page where TranslatePress errors and the relevant part of the page source:
I am wild-guessing that your plugin may not be able to handle the
<span class=”gamma widget-title”>
correctly, as in, maybe with the space in the class value?

I have done some local investigations for you in Inspect mode. This is what I’ve found (if it helps):
Let me know what else I can do to move this further.
Thanks.PS: the issue is there on both Chrome and Safari. Have not checked other browsers.
Thanks for your efforts, Cristian.
I have removed the Custom HTML module to see if that improves the situation but it hasn’t. The headers of both the Recently viewed items and the AddToAny are still showing the HTML lingo.
I have uploaded two screenshots showing the issue, can you see them?
If I could, I would send you further details privately.
Thanks, Cristian, but I am reluctant to show URLs with issues in a public forum.
Let me try to add details to what I’ve got in that Custome HTML widget (replaced actual text with placeholders, and left in all meta elements):
For the “Title”, a simple text of a few words, then in the body, the structure is as follows:
<i> “text1a”</i><br><div style=”text-align:right”>text1b</div>
<hr>
<i> “text2a”</i><br><div style=”text-align:right”>text2b</div>
<hr>
<i> “text3a1<b>text3a2</b>text3a3″</i><br><div style=”text-align:right”>
text3b</div>
<hr>
<i> “text4a”</i><br><div style=”text-align:right”>
text4b
</div>
<hr>By the way, the same issue shows in a AddToAny plugin widget, so you may try to reproduce the issue with that.
Right beneath the above Custom HTML, the header of the AddToAny widget shows the following (in Translate Page mode):
data-trp-translate-id=”82″ data-trp-node-group=”String List”>Share on
and also a “Recently viewed products” widget header shows similar, which widget is placed in between the two above:
data-trp-translate-id=”193″ data-trp-node-group=”String List”>
The site is running WooCommerce, with the Storefront/Bookstore theme.

In reply to: [Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons] Saving… saving… saving…None of those apply to me, so the only option for me was to reload page, after which the process got unstuck and I could set up this plugin.
Thanks, Anindya. I misunderstood the 15 seconds, apologies. However, I am still wanting to have the plugin generate the certificate for my domain.
Once I can streamline this process for myself, I will have further domains to process.I am reluctant to post too many details into this public forum.
Is there a way that I could send you the screenshots directly?
Thanks.
