Hi @tezalsec,
Thanks for pointing this out and for providing detailed information about your server configuration and the challenges with
.ico
files.Currently, MainWP fetches favicon files directly as they exist on child sites, which means if a child site has?
.ico
?files for favicons, that’s what gets retrieved and displayed without any conversion. However, you can manually upload a custom icon on the Edit page of a Child site. This way, you can bypass?
.ico
?files altogether by providing a?.png
?or other preferred file formats directly. To address your suggestion of always using?
.png
?for favicons by converting.ico
, you’re welcome to submit this as a feature request on our?Feedback?Site. That helps us gauge user interest and prioritize potential changes.Thank you all for your reports.

We haven’t made any recent changes to multisite compatibility, and it’s important to note that MainWP is not officially designed for managing WordPress Multisite setups. It’s not fully supported. The message you’re seeing is likely related to this lack of compatibility.
For more information on using MainWP with WordPress Multisite and the issues you might encounter, please refer to our knowledge base article.

Just to provide an update on this –
The button referred in this discussion was present on the popup modal which open when you click on the version number of a plugin that has an available update on the Updates page (wp-admin/admin.php?page=UpdatesManage).
This button has been removed in the latest version of the MainWP Dashboard v5.2.1.If you don’t currently have an account with us, you can also open a ticket by emailing us at [email protected].

You can use the MainWP Custom Dashboard Extension to hide elements like the “Install now” button on the plugin details page. This extension allows you to customize the UI by adding custom CSS or JavaScript, helping you create a layout that suits your workflow better.
