Is there a way to edit the template it looks at when the taxonomy-wpsc_product_category.php file is deleted? OR putting the main presentation settings on default view and individual categories on grid view (I have gold cart)

I see one of the problems, the code as you rightly said Justin is echoing the main default products page, how would I go about being able to change grid view/list view/default view per category upon removing the ‘taxonomy-wpsc_product_category.php’ file? Or would I need a re-written ‘taxonomy-wpsc_product_category.php’ file? – Thnaks

Sorry, I didn’t word that right, that code is the ‘taxonomy-wpsc_product_category.php’ file in the theme folder, I want to change the setting for category pages only, you see on the homepage I use a shortcode in a marquee so all the products scroll, this is in grid view, I want the products to display on their own pages in list view, so far, this code does this, but only show’s one product, all I want to do is get this to display all products (and the bit I missed out) on the current category (eg. All shoes under /products-page/shoes).

Alternatively, would it be possible to create a shortcode for the category and setting something like: (Example: [wpsc_category_’shoes’ view_’list’] – Note this code is fake) so I wouldn’t need to modify the default page? – Thanks

I am having a similar issue, I basically want category pages in WPEC to show as default view but want to select individual categories to view as grid view (I have Gold Cart) I accepted the fact that once products are marked as featured I could not get the featured on their own page, so what I do is get a product categorized normally and cross-categorize it with my ‘Featured’ product category, and when the Featured category is viewed I want Grid View but otherwise I want Default view, when I go to Products > Categories > Featured > Catalog View: Set to Grid View it does not save despite saying ‘Item Updated Successfully’, how would I get this to do as it’s told? Thanks

I am having a similar issue, only I use default view for the products page and want grid view on certain (not all) category pages, but when I change the setting in Category > Advanced > (Default, List or Grid View, the setting that is supposed to override the Presentation setting for that category ONLY) and press save, it DOESN’T save and that category is left on default view, how can I in a way, force this to change, I only want grid view on 1 category on the site.
