In reply to: Using Word Press and Go DaddyI’d call GoDaddy and ask. They’ve always been helpful when I’ve called them for clients.

In reply to: InfiniteWP – Client needs updating – never installed plugin?Thank you for the quick reply. I appreciate it.
I’m not sure what you mean. I cut-and-pasted the log file in this thread.
In Logs, if I mouseover View, I get the name of the log, the contents of which are here.Is there something else you need? Am I missing something?
You can contact me at the email address on polizeros.com, top of right skinny column, if that’s faster or easier.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3TC causes failed blogpost schedulesTwo scheduled posts didn’t happen early this AM with W3TC installed. All new posts were timing out. Trying to add another paragraph to an existing post timed out and the changes were never on the site. I tried multiple times.
After deinstalling W3TC, posting is fast, quick, no timeouts or glitches. My blog had experienced some inexplicable timeout errors prior to the new version of W3TC but things got much worse after the new version. And it had never not been able to update an existing post prior to the new version.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3TC causes failed blogpost schedulesI was getting the same thing too. Scheduled posts didn’t activate. New posts would get timeouts. Re-editing existing posts didn’t work. The changes didn’t take.
I tried to deinstall w3tc and got several timeouts. Deactivated all the caches individually and then got Server Error 500. .htaccess had been mangled and contained fragments of the w3tc code. Managed to deinstall w3tc via ftp and fixing .htaccess.
I’m a developer and understand that plugin conflicts can be vexing (to say the least.) W3tc has some great features but I can’t live with timeouts and scheduled posts not occurring.
There are no timeouts after deinstalling w3tc and posts are re-editing correctly and quickly.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] WP 3.5 Compatibility – Presume OK?3.5 installed fine for me with Amazon CDN. I clicked Test in the CDN tab and it passed.
I think it there were widespread issues with W3TC and WP 3.5 0we’d know about it by now here.
Weird compatibility issues after WP upgrades are very often caused by plugins.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] No sitemap is created after activating XML SitemapsI just got BWP Google XML Sitemaps working after emailing the developer who said to make the following change in Performance/ Browser Cache
In W3 Total Cache 0.9.2.2 or possibly older, go to Performance → Browser Cache, and then go to ’404 error exception list’ in the ‘General’ option block, and find this line:
sitemap(_index|[0-9]+)?\.xml(\.gz)?
OR this line:
sitemap\.xml(\.gz)?
and change it to:
(sitemapindex|[a-z0-9_-]+)\.xml
Once I did this, the sitemap generated!

In reply to: How do I best exclude a category from home pageThat worked. Thank you!
Yes, not having to put code back in after upgrading in a good thing.

In reply to: Remove "The post … appeared first on …"You don’t edit plugin editor. Look on left bar for SEO / RSS. That’s where it is.

In reply to: Error on upgrading to 3.4I figured a manual upgrade was in order but just wanted to check. and that fixed it. (It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a manual upgrade too!)
Thanks for your help. You help a lot of people here.
