Yes, can we revive this post since I too am looking for a way to link posts, and categories to a specific page as described. I’m not so concerned with different headers though.

I figured out how to turn the comments off but how do I set the first page up so it kinda looks like a magazine? Are there templates that will do that? As for the rest of the site, I want to create sections for different subjects and possibly integrate a SMF forum. The material I have uses lots of pictures, how hard is it to keep the picture intensive format?
