In reply to: What causes delay in pass-reset emails?@tg – Thanks for the visual of my lost little email. ??
I was wondering if there might be a specific reason since usually it is so much faster. Thought it might have something to do with something I had done.
BTW, still waiting for the last one… 20 minutes…
Thanks for the help!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Lost Password email has no password.@bentoms: Perhaps you could clarify a few things in your post.
You mention that you can edit your posts… but doesn’t that require you to be logged into WordPress?
If you can’t switch themes once you are in WP, perhaps you are logging in as a non-Admin user with a reduced level of permissions.
Usually, when logging onto WP, there is an option to click for “lost password”. The password for the username associated with the email address you enter will be reset and emailed to you. You can then use that new password to login. Make sure to use the email address associated with the Admin (if you are the Admin) if you want to reset the Admin password and log in as the Admin.
Hope that helps! Good luck! ??

In reply to: Links Page PermitionsHave you browsed the Codex for the info on permissions? It includes info on the different user levels. Perhaps that might address your question…? Good luck! ??

In reply to: monthly archives – not all posts showing upThanks for the help!
Basketball, I’m assuming I would load that into the plugins folder, right? Do I need to change any other code anywhere else?
Thanks!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: monthly archives – not all posts showing upThank you!
Page is located at: https://www.eve-marie.com/faces/blog/While in the Admin area, if I set it to post, say 25 posts on a page, all the posts from that month (24) will be displayed. However, it will also display 25 posts on the page regularly.
My ideal solution would be for 5 posts to be displayed on the page at the initial view, and then all of the archived pages (however many) to be displayed once the search was done.
THANKS for your help!! ??

In reply to: Archive by Category/DropdownProblem resolved. I had found the appropriate code via the Codex, but it was making my page render strangely. So I thought I would stick with what was working, i.e. the above.
I tinkered on the code a little more. Turns out a few category names were a little long, and therefore messing the page format. I edited the names and got everything working. Thanks for your help! ??

In reply to: Sort links by ratingAlso, I tried the trick with putting spaces before the link names… same problems! I think I am making the appropriate changes in the Admin area, but the same problems happen. Confused!
