I would say that by now wordpress people should consider this a bug, and not a plugin issue. Lots of people are having this issue … WordPress people need to hotfix this.

I tried this again with no luck, a lot of people are having this problem, something is up with the tinymce included with wordpress imo .

I tried that step but I will try again, just to make sure … I will try this on the new fresh install of wordpress.

When I turn off the visual editor in the settings the buttons for the text editor actually appear again … but they are useless almost

Also tried installing google library plugin, and no effect

I jutt finished reuploading all wordpress files to the brand new site https://www.sharingfilestoday.com thru ftp and still same problem

I tried with every browser as well, chrome, safari, firefox, IE, Opera

when I click on the visual editor tab I get this error :
“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘canvas’ of undefined”

I did try every thing on that list. And like I said the site sharingfilestoday, was a brand new domain I just bought, fresh new install with no plugins or themes installed except default theme. first thing I did was try to post, and visual editor not working, and hasen’t work since. I tried installing visual editor plugins since and nothing works. I mean fresh domain with new fresh wordpress install cancel’s almost anything that the page you mentioned tries to remedy.

Same here, I tried addons on/off, adding the define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); and the script debug one, all to new effect.
Tried switching to new themes/update cache, nothing works. I’m having this problem on 3 on my 6 sites, very weird. One site I’m having the problem with was a brand new site without even any plugins or themes installed … All sites are on the same vps server as well …

I have the same problem, I installed a fresh new copy of wordpress on a domain I just purchase, new sql database and no plugins installed. Go to make my first post to start up the new site, and visual editor tab not working. I have other sites tho on the same vps that are running wordpress 3.5 and they still work. I’ve installed google libraries and done the revert back and forth with theme change and cache refresh, but still I cannot click on visual editor. From reading I c that this has been a problem since 3.3, this issue should be looked into.

And I’m sorry to say but the default editor with wordpress totally sucks … you can’t even change font size unless you switch to html and do it all by hand …
