Excuse my ignorance, @lukefiretoss but does the code you put here go into the functions PHP file?

Yeah, Classic Editor is still not working. I upgraded to 5.5 yesterday, and I am thinking of rolling back my WordPress version. Its unusable, and I am using Classic Editor 1.6. I uninstalled and reinstall classic editor, also clearing the cache between steps and no go.

Same problem since updated to WP 5.5. I can’t access the text editor. It’s stuck on visual editor.

I have the same problem. As well, I cannot change my featured content, as none of the tags are showing in the editor.

Thanks @wfgerald I enabled learning mode and it seems to be working fine now. Also, Yoast had an update this morning, and I had also posted in their forum.

TY Rumejan. I am going to get in touch with them. Not sure what you mean by the HR plugin. I don’t think I have that plugin. I thought the error was from the WordPress core files. Tinymce is part of that now.

I Have been having problems and my fonts appear to be broken also.There was just an update of the plugin today, so hopefully that will make a difference. Were you using Google font?

Yes, all plugins were reactivated with no issues. So far so good anyway. Many thanks!

Thank you James. This seems to have worked for me(from the link you provided):
I reset the plugins folder via FTP & reactivated the plugins manually.

Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
Login to your WordPress administration plugins page (/wp-admin/plugins.php) – this will disable any plugin that is “missing”.
Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”

Thank you James. I am doing through the FTP and then when I went to admin/php I saw a screen with the following:

All I have done is renamed the plugin folder so far.

I actually uninstalled this plugin some time ago.

SO glad I found this thread. Answered my questions. I am going to switch from Yoast. It’s broken my calender and archive links-hoping this one will work fine. Thanks for the info.

Okay it’s working now. I think I know what happened. Instead of regenerating a new access token, I created another API key. so still no token. I have corrected it now and it is working.

Should have mentioned when I click the link to renew the access token this is what I get:
invalid redirect_uri. This value must match a URL registered with the API key
