In reply to: Can't disable mouseover effects in Rubine themeThank you, it worked perfectly.
Please could you help me understand why I couldn’t find this when I inspected that element using Firebug? I can’t find a reference to “hover” anywhere but it clearly is present somewhere to render the white box when I mouseover each block.
Many thanks.

In reply to: Allow customer to edit content on a site I've createdThank you very much for your input.
It will indeed be a hosted site built in www.remarpro.com. I am developing it using MAMP and then I’ll transfer it to the server.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Allow customer to edit content on a site I've createdIt certainly does, thanks.
One other thing – if it’s a www.remarpro.com site that’s being hosted, what does the customer need to do to access the dashboard as an editor? In other words, will I have to install www.remarpro.com for him and set up a database?

In reply to: Just cannot get my head around going from local host to a serverThank you so much for your replies. Just a couple of follow up questions seeing as I’m so new and a bit scared by all this. I’m using SiteGround as a host.
You mentioned exporting the site using phpMyAdmin – how do I get to that using MAMP?
Creating a new database inside host – I assume this is as simple as the one click installer I see before?
Steps 6 and 7 that you mentioned really baffle me but I’ll try to search like you suggested.
Many thanks.

In reply to: So frustrated – can't manipulate custom header image using CSSOk it has worked to a point. But the theme has still enlarged the image to 1600px instead of displaying it in it’s correct size. Two things…
A/ How do I use css to make the logo be displayed in its native size and bypass the enlargement?
B/ What CSS do I use to move the logo around (i.e align left and bottom etc)?
Thanks.

In reply to: So frustrated – can't manipulate custom header image using CSSThanks for replying. I will try this later.
I did create a much smaller image but that theme seems to blow it up to the 1600×260 resolution that it likes for headers. It’s really annoying.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: So frustrated – can't manipulate custom header image using CSSAnyone?
I’m so frustrated with this.
All I want to do is resize the logo in the header and move it around a bit. Nothing works.
I don’t know PHP so I’m relying on css in the editor.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: So frustrated – can't manipulate custom header image using CSSThanks for the reply.
Please could you clarify you final points about wrapping it in img and giving it a class. That means nothing to me. Thanks.

In reply to: Using Dreamweaver with a hosted child themeWill do. Thanks so much.
Do you happen to know of a killer online resource that lists all of the css commands I’d need to use to customise my site? I know a little css and I can use Firebug to find the elements I need to change. However, some of the more skilful changes (i.e. scaling content, making content semi-opaque using rgba etc) are beyond my knowledge and I wouldn’t know how to apply them in a child theme.
Your help and guidance is highly appreciated. ??

In reply to: Using Dreamweaver with a hosted child themeIs it really that simple?
I just copy the header.php and footer.php files into my child theme folder and edit those?
Will those changes overwrite the source files successfully?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Using Dreamweaver with a hosted child themeYes, I have.
However, in the editor box, it just shows an empty space more or less with the links to the parent theme.I’m not really sure what to do from here to customise the footer for example.

My host is SiteGround and they provide a Super Cache plugin. The dynamic part was switched off and now that I’ve switched it on, all changes in the editor are working finally. Thanks for your guidance.
