To answer @nlpro question : I have two users on my instance. First one is myself, administrator. The second one is an editor.
I have no staging site now but when I will migrate my website I can give you some access to the current instance.
“As for what’s causing this odd behavior, do you know if the duplicate emails will start sending after you log in as an admin?” –> Exactly, I tried to login with my admin account many times to lock my IP, just to try the Solid Security plugin and after the issue happened.
