In reply to: Fatal error after upgradeThanks, t-p. Will do.
If anyone else has solved this problem, would love to hear.

In reply to: Fatal error after upgradeYes, t-p, thanks. I should have mentioned that.
I can’t see anything relevant there for my issue. I am surprised that only two of us experienced this problem and complained about it (apparently), and that it persisted with a manual reinstall for both of us.
I have a single WP install.
Also, FWIW, I can’t change my theme, since I can’t login, but I did change the theme folder name, so it won’t be used.
Ditto plugins, which were deactivated, but I changed the folder name anyway, trying to cover my bases.

In reply to: Fatal error after upgradeI have the same problem.
I am getting this error message after using the WP automatic upgrade to 3.1:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::add_query_var() in …/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 316
I checked that file, and it says:
$wp->add_query_var($args[‘query_var’]);
(as it should).
I changed the plugin and theme folder names as directed above.
I tried manually reinstalling WordPress. Problem persists.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Question About Possible Hack of SiteI had the same security breach today on my 2.8.2 site, including the same new users added since 8/30:
MikeWink
Miriam
AdrianqBut I could not find any admin user. The dashboard showed only one admin (1) = me. Looking in the wp usermeta database also yielded nothing, at least to my eyes. (I am not experienced with this stuff, but could not see anything easily.)
Here’s what I did:
I deleted the malicious code from the permalink structure.
I deleted old WP files, more or less leaving only theme files (NOT index.php from each theme– of which corrupted versions were scattered everywhere you can imagine, so I replaced these), wp-config.php, and .htaccess and robots.txt.
I reinstalled WP, upgrading to the latest 2.8.4.
Changed FTP and MYSQL and WordPress admin passwords.
I deleted old plugins and reinstalled each.
IS there anything I need to do to make sure I am secure and have not let anything corrupt linger from the old site?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] extra code in header?Okay, I figured it out. Just in case anyone else ever wonders about this: it links google adsense with your analytics account.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] extra code in header?Joost de Valk, the maker of the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin tells me that this code is not coming from his plugin.
Can anyone else advise me as to where it might be coming from and if it is a problem?
Thanks!
So if I am not using www. in my URLs, how do I fix this?
Do I just replace line 475 with what you have above?
Thanks!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: delicious PostToBlog problemYes– same problem. And I used to use the feature successfully (sometime in the August-November 2008 time frame).
I see there are plugins (Postalicious) which don’t seem to be compatible to the current version of WP. Any other workarounds would be welcomed.

In reply to: [Plugin: bbPress Integration] Integration of 2.5 ?Yes– but WP 2.7 only works with the new alpha 1.x release of bbpress.
And if you are not an experienced user, you should probably not install the alpha release.
Which means you are left with 2.5.1 and bbpress 0.9.0.3, which does not integrate fully.
Hopefully the beta will come soon!
