Hi, thanks for your quick reply.
Many (many) years ago I developed a Medicinal Plants Database for a local hospital using Microsoft Access, they’re still using it and recently asked me if I could create a website for the database, so here I am.
In my travels over the web researching I came into contact with Magnus Strand from Sweden, he’s created a plant database website and this page is an example of what I’d like to do with the Catablog plugin, I don’t understand Swedish either but I understand from him that the dropdown boxes in the left column provide all the taxonomies to search by – I may want to change this to multiple selections from one list – so I’d be very interested to know if you think I could build something similar with this plugin.
I have some experience using WordPress, html and css, but my php coding skills are weak, so I’m looking for a solution that requires minimum coding.
Another WordPress plugin I’m looking at is WP Catalogue
Any comments or suggestions you have regarding the Catablog plugin or any other plugins or themes is much appreciated.

I don’t think an optional field limited to one member would generate that many notifications, and it would be nice to make the member aware of the existence of a topic in which he may be able to help.
When a topic is closed it would at least give someone the chance to inform a member of the new thread.

It’s a community, people participate to help one another, so if another member had a similar issue, why not at least inform them of the new thread? They can respond or not as they wish.
Maybe like having tag words you could add another field for a specific member you’d like to be notified of the thread.

Be a nice idea though if it was possible to direct to or notify members that a new thread had been opened on a topic they’d participated in, in the past, what do you think?

Hi, thanks for your reply, seems confusing that you have to mix dashes and underscores in a template name, suppose a better solution is to make the slug a single word like medicinalplant.
Spent a lot of time trying to clarify this, thanks for making it clear.

Hi sorry if this is a bit off-topic, I’m using cpt-ui and don’t want to mix dash and underscore in the url, so I was wondering if – or how – I can use a dash in the template name, I’d like the name to be:
single-medicinal-plant.php.
So the Post Type Slug would be medicinal-plant
Is this ok or how do I make a url with only dashs?

Hi again, Sorry about all these posts – a work in progress.
The way in to edit/clone is WordPress Dashboard > Media > Visualizer Library, then there’s icons for Edit and Cloning. At the moment for me only clone works, the edit icon gives me a blank screen.
I’ll keep you posted.

Hi, Why not use shortcode [gallery size="large" columns="4"]

I have a problem that when I use the size option in the shortcode, the Fancybox in Simplest Gallery stops working. Any Ideas?
