In reply to: WordPress tells me 11 tables are missing, where do I go from here?Hi I have 3 databases on the server they appear as follows:
(databases)
information_schema (17)
mosheavn
_wpdb (15)
_wrdp1 (11)When I click _wpdb I get a screen which says no tables in database (even though it says there’s 15 tables in the database list above).
When I click _wrdp1 I see the 11 tables that it says are missing from _wpdb.
Is there any way to rebuild the tables from the site or salvage the pages I created – the site consisted of about 16 pages no posts.
Any help appreciated.David

In reply to: how do i link a gallery thumbnail to an external urlHi Sage, I’m using the File Gallery plugin at the moment. I’ve been searching around the web and found this hack for the NextGen plugin. I’m trying to set up a gallery for paintings and would like to give each painting in its own page plus the possibility to zoom in on the painting.
Just seems that giving thumbnails the possibility to link to an external url would be a basic feature in a gallery plugin, it doesn’t seem so complicated but I can’t find a plugin that has it.
Thanks for any helpDavid

In reply to: can I click a gallery thumbnail and recieve a different imageHi Jonas, I just refreshed the page and the thumbnail image has now been replaced by the new image that I ftp’d which answers my question above – where’s the thumbnail image stored?
So now the fullscreen image is OK but the thumbnail image has been replaced (I want 2 separate images, 1 for the thumbnail and 1 for the fullscren view). Any ideas?David

In reply to: can I click a gallery thumbnail and recieve a different imageThanks very much Jonas, really appreciate your help, been struggling with this for days – I assumed that if I changed the image and kept the name that would change the thumbnail image as well – so where’s the thumbnail image stored?
How would I direct the thumbnail to a url (another page) for each thumbnail?
I’d like to make a gallery where each page is a group of 4 thumbnails arranged horizontally, I need paging, and the possibility to display the replaced thumbnail image when clicked in full screen view and enlarged, can you recommend any good gallery plugins for that.
Thanks again for your helpDavid

In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] simple template without thickboxHi Aesqe
I tried the shortcode you posted above and everything’s ok apart from
paginate=”true” I don’t see any indication on the page to go to next/prev page or page numbers.
I would also like a different main (enlarged) image from the thumbnail where do I insert the url for the main image? Thanks for your help

In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] simple template without thickboxHi Aesqe, Thanks very much for your reply, thing is since I wrote this post the specifications have changed a little, what I want to do now is 4 large thumbnails arranged horizontally and clicking on the thumbnail image will take me directly to the fullscreen image (without the thickbox), also do you have any suggestions how I can include paging in the File Gallery.
Thanks for any helpDavid
Hi once you’ve uploaded the image and the thumbnail is generated, use Firebug to identify the image names on the server, then use Filezilla (or whatever you use to transfer stuff to the server) to replace them with whatever image you want. Hope this helps although after 9 months I’m sure you’ve already found a solution.

In reply to: filezilla creating duplicate file names instead of overwritingSorry to have wasted your time, I downloaded the “duplicate” file
stared at the 2 names and finally noticed one had a”-” and the other a space in the name. Always helps to talk about your problems.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: clicking on view post displays XAMPP For Windows pageFor anyone reading this, I’m still stumbling around looking for my posts.
This may be a clue, I have a post who’s ID No. is 427 and if I type url:127.0.0.1/wordpress/?p=427 I see the post but if I type:
localhost/wordpress/?p=427 (or click view) I get the XAMPP for Windows page.
Admin/Posts Permalink: https://localhost/wordpress/2011/10/test-gallery/
Thanks for any help.
