So is this a real issue and is it going to be fixed?
Here are two screenshots.

But those links are fine, and when I click on Recheck, it comes back still as 403.
And yet when I click those links, I can go there no problem at all.
@aegirr
This sounds bad.But I’m also thinking how safe is it to keep on running the 12.6.13 version because it’s already “outdated” a lot.
The developers probably screwed up with the 13.x.x versions but don’t want to admit it.
By the way, is there any way to safely delete the plugin as well as the database space that it takes up? As I think this plugin uses some tablebases of its own which slowly takes up disk space on your hosting.
I am using a cache plugin called Litespeed Cache. Due to the problems I have reverted to the version 12.6.13 and therefore, will your advice to check on the URL site.com/wp-json/wp-statistics/v2/check work for that older version?
I am not sure yet whether I want to update to version 13.
Thanks for your reply. Would you by any chance know of any other suitable plugin that can replace this Shortcode UI plugin?
Cheers
I guess you also use or are familiar with Wordfence right? They will always give a warning when a plugin has not been updated in 2 years and mark it as abandoned.
I am only asking you what are the other options for users or what can you suggest, and I am not using Gutenberg (I am sticking to the Classic WordPress editor).
I am not sure if I can deactivate the Shortcake plugin because I think all the posts with videos embedded in them would no longer work (for the videos)….
Thanks.
I am finally deactivating this plugin on one of my sites that is running the version 13.0.5
Because it is generating this error message:
Here is an error associated with Connecting WordPress Rest API
cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: https://www.my-site.com
Please Flushing rewrite rules or activate WordPress REST API for performance WP-Statistics Plugin Cache / Go Settings->PermalinksAnd there is no solution for it. I tried to save my Permalinks again, and still, the problem persists.
I think the plugin is broken since version 13.x.x
I have not gotten any error messages when installing. I was using Stop Bad Bots for a long time, but now, it seems you have made the Antihacker plugin to be compulsory, or else the Stop Bad Bots plugin will not work any more….
And yes, the “Alert me all Failed Login Attempts” is set to OFF. That is why I said I am confused.
The second line says Alert me All Logins
Yes, All (circle) No, Alert me Only Not White listed (circle)I don’t quite understand this, but I checked the “No, Alert me Only Not White listed circle…….
And the rest I set to NO.
Only the first one I see it’s blank. And I left it blank.
But the spam kept coming afterwards.
So…..can you confirm if the Antihacker plugin is compulsory now or not if I want to use the Stop Bad Bots plugin? It seems like it.
Thanks.
To all,
I wonder if anyone sees the significant difference in the v12.6.13 vs the v13.0.x
The way visitors are counted has CHANGED COMPLETELY.
For example:
Hi,
I am on PHP 7.4 and my website encountered a Critical Error when I updated to version 13.0.2 last week.
I received the same message which is this:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in /wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78
But my site seems to be working ok afterwards.
However, one important detail – The way the visitors are counted is different now, and it seems to have gone back to the very old version few years ago. Which is, showing just a few live visitors now. Previously it would show few hundred. But the very old version from maybe 2 years ago, also showed very few visitors and I considered that to be accurate. The hundreds of live visitors is fake to me…..
So now with the new version 13.0.4, is it safe to update or should I go back to the older version?
I was told by my WordPress, that your plugin introduced a “Critical Error” on my site.
But my site seems to be running ok, from within and without. I hope you are aware that WordPress is calling it a Critical Error.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Importing Historical Data not workingThanks, I think the import has transferred over?!? by itself?
After a while, when I logged back in, and go to the Woocommerce Dashboard, I don’t see any messages saying any import is in progress.I’m still not sure though.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Database Update Announcement won’t go awayThanks for your reply. I am not sure, but after logging out from my site and logging back in later, the message seems to have gone away. So I am marking this as resolved.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Historical data Import STUCK and broken.Every time Woocommerce does these “major” updates that involve some database migration, often things just go wrong.
Now I have an import of the “Historical Data” being stuck as well.

In reply to: The “Discussion” option is missing from some of my WordPress sitesYou may have a plugin that is causing this. Check your plugins, it has to be a plugin that disables the comments….
Deactivate the plugin and your Discussion will come back.
