In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Only one file to download instead of zip fileThanks for your feedback. I just tested this again and, like @rjpivonka, it’s working normally for me too. A few others have reported this over the years, and I’ve never been able to get to the bottom of why it works for most, but not for others.
Would you mind answering a few questions?
1. What type of Dropbox account do you have (e.g. Personal / Business)?
2. What file extension are you getting this problem with?
3. Are there any non-alphanumeric characters in either the folder names or filenames? Thanks!

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Uploads Not workingThanks for the update – glad to see you got it working again. Usual causes are the allowed file types and/or a hosting upload size limit.

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Uploading to specific folder isn’t workingSorry for the slow reply. I’ve just tested this again and it, of course, works fine on my set up. I’m happy to dig deeper so can you let me know if you have any access control turned on for this folder and if you’re using any plugin shortcodes?
Thanks!
Chris

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Access controls stopped workingHi Jim,
Thanks for trying out my suggestions. I unfortunately can’t replicate your issue. I have, though, added new functionality to the plugin to completely reset the access control with version 2.2.1. Maybe give that a go.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Access controls stopped workingHi Jim,
Thanks for your feedback. v2.2.0 did address some Access Control logic but should have been backward compatible with your previous settings. Two things you could try after updating to 2.2.0 again:
1. In the Admin, select the All/Anonymous role and select each folder before clicking Save Changes. It sounds like you might have done this, but just to be sure please try it again! Note that it won’t keep the checkbox after saving, but you can verify the access control that’s been applied to each folder by looking at the value in parenthesis after each folder.
2. If you want All/Anonymous role on EVERY folder, and you’re comfortable making changes in the WordPress database for your site, find the bex_folder_auth key in the options table and you can delete it. This will reset access to All/Anonymous for each folder.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] User Access Restrictions to Specific Sub-FoldersHi Mark,
There are no immediate plans to add this functionality to the plugin.
You could potentially achieve what you’re aiming for by using a plugin such as WPFront User Role Editor and creating new custom roles; one role for each user. For example, set up a John-Doe role for the user John Doe and a Jane-Doe role for the user Jane Doe, etc. (Normally you’d give more generic roles names and assign user[s] to those.) Access can then be granted to these roles for each specific subfolder(s).
Hope that helps.
Chris
