Bummer – same result. Here’s what I did:

1. Deleted WP- folders, except the wp-content
2. Deleted all wp- files in the root (except wp-config), as well as index.php
3. Downloaded the latest version of wordpress
4. Uploaded the new versions of everything that was deleted.

Feed Validator still gives the same error (https://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmodernservantleader.com%2Ffeed%2F) and the Feedburner feed remains stuck on the same post.

Any other ideas?

Thanks! I’m sure this will work. Unfortunately, I am mobile a lot – often on the road. So I’d rather not leave it to whitelist. Is there no way to password protect wp-login.php?

It’s pretty much just me. Occasionally I grant others access, but it’s rare. Comments are all done through Disqus.

Thanks for the quick reply, but no I am not using the default account. I created my own. Clearly their scripts have found that one so I may create a new account. However, I’d like to block them from even being able to hit the wp-login.php without being challenged, like we can do with the wp-admin folder. Is that possible?

This worked for me:

Replaced this line from content-gallery.php:
echo($galleryscript);
With this line:
if(is_home() || is_front_page()) echo($galleryscript);

I’m facing the same issue and have not found a solution yet. I planned to use is_Template() rather than is_Home() and will take a look at this area of code tonight. Any chance you’ve been successful since posting this and if so, can you share your solution here?

Thank you, James, for sharing your details. After experiencing the same problem, I installed the WP-phpMyAdmin plugin, navigated to the postMeta table and found it corrupted. I then simply selected that table, clicked the Repair option and it successfully restored the table. I’m back in business now, thanks to the details you provided. Thanks!

Found it. I also had to remove the <div id="content"> and closing tag. That did it.

Thanks for this tip gang, but it does not seem to work in the latest version. The content of the sidebar is gone, but the column remains. Any other suggestions? Example with the above implemented (I just deleted the line from the page template in this instance):
