No theres no error, it just shows nothing but the same page the album is on, but without the album this time.

I discovered one strange thing, if i insert for example
[album id=1 template=compact] in my WP-Page look at the preview of the site it works, but when i go with publish, the resulting page has the erronous albums.
Iam at a real loss, looks like i will have to dig into the code and place some debug messages or stuff, ui php here i come..

Ah okay, that resolves the testcase, with [nggallery id=1 template=compact]
But i still dont know, why the albums are not working with my nextgen installation anymore :).

Yeah the problem is i cant find the gallery-compact.php, and neither can i in the last few version of nextgen?

I just checked, and the gallery-compact.php indeed doesnt exist.
So i downloaded the last Version 1.8.4, as a zip, but i couldnt find a gallery-compact.php in there either?
So where is that file supposed to come from?

If i insert it simply with
[nggaller id=1] its working
