Thanks for your help.I tried what you suggested and I could login through “TwentyFourteen” so it looks as if it’s a theme issue. I updated “Flame” to it’s latest version, as well as updating all WordPress and plugin files but I still cannot login through the “Flame” theme.
So would you have any other suggsetions than changing theme, or logging in every time with the your technique?
Thanks
Black WidowHi Mdziedzic
I’m wondering if the problem you had is the same problem i’m having now. When I go to enter the username and password on a client’s website (https://findyourmusic.com.au/) it doesn’t go to the dashboard, it just stays on the wp-admin page. WP doesn’t give me an error message. I’ve got no secondary password protection on the site, i’ve emptied the cache and history on all browsers and turned off all plugins and the problem still exists.
If it is a .htacess problem, how did you fix the problem.
Cheers

In reply to: Cannot login and access the dashboardHi HostPuma
I did have some security plugins but I deactivated them and deleted them. The plugins that I am using at the moment are:
??BackupBuddy
? Contact Form by BestWebSoft
??Revolution Slider
? WP Retina 2x
??WP-Optimize
? Yoast SEOCould it be some securtity feature still lingering? If so, where is it?
The strange thing is – I can get access my dashboard through my browser history but if I use another browser that is cleared of history/cookies, I cannot get in.

In reply to: Cannot login and access the dashboardAnother thought – could it be an error in the .htacess file?

In reply to: Cannot login and access the dashboardHi HostPuma
thanks for your reply.Hmmm, I checked the Error Logs and nothing was there and changed ‘false’ to ‘true’. I then tried to login again (clearing the cache and history on two browsers on two different machines) on the wp-admin login page and it still does not let me access the dashboard. There is no message that comes up saying that it is an error. All it does is process the username and password and goes nowhere.
The URL for the wp-admin page is:
https://www.findyourmusic.com.au/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.findyourmusic.com.au%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1Is this correct? I also had a look through my FTP on my server for strange files and could not find anything out of the ordinary.
Thanks

In reply to: Login IssuesHi Varunms
Thanks for your reply. I added the code to the config file, logged in and it still is giving me the message below:Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 491520 bytes) in /home/hx8c9bph/public_html/website/wp-admin/menu.php on line 225
Do I have to add the code to a specific area of the config file?

In reply to: Warnings on WordPress dashboardHi Krisha and Hakkim
Yes, it was a theme issue. I contacted the theme creators and they replaced the files.
Thanks for your support.

In reply to: Upgrading WordPress / images cannot uploadHi Jan
I’ve just tried to do automatically update WordPress and it isn’t happening. When I click on ‘Update’ button, it does go to the ‘Update WordPress’ screen – but it is just blank – no information about how it is progressing.
I really think it could be my ISP and their high security settings. I’ve tried to do a manual update but that is not happening either. When I use a database backup plugin, I keep on getting a message saying that ‘your webhost does not allow the sheel command to be executed’ so it looks as if i’ll have to give them a call.
Cheers

In reply to: Upgrading WordPress / images cannot uploadThanks Jan for the quick reply! -I’ll give both replies a shot today.
When you say ‘sounds like your installation may be a little to restrictive’ – si this a case of also talking to my ISP?
Cheers
