@martcol as , said i had tried them on 2 fresh installations , there were no posts , no pages , nothing .

it does not help , there is no additional post / page / custom post type with the same slug. Also i tried to use the same slug with 2 fresh wordpress installations too . Try it yourself on your blog . It will not work.

hmm , then i think it may be cpanel , i will recheck with hostgator

just make a visibilty of the post to private , it is available when you edit post and see on the top right hand corner , where post options of published , draft are there , there visibility and select password
