In reply to: Plugins to let user post from their blogThanks Steve! Ok, maybe a basic question but do I need a blog plugin at all? Or do I just deal with it in the theme? (I’m new to WordPress overall so still just figuring my way through things.)
Thanks!

In reply to: SKT-Wellness Spa – Slider PhotosHi, I’m working off of a local host so I can’t share the URL. To answer your question though, I am using the free version, yes. When it comes to the slider, does that matter?

In reply to: [waffle] Remove icon from Header?I’m running from a local host, so cannot (unless there’s some way to do it that I don’t know of). However, if you wouldn’t mind taking a look at and click on the Preview button in the upper right, you’ll see it. When the preview loads, the icon I’m talking about is the one that displays next to “Worth A Thousand Words” and “Elements”.
Thank you so much for your help. Please let me know if this gives you the info you need.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [waffle] Turn off: Continue readingHi,
I had the same problem and figured out a solution, though I’d be curious to hear from other, more experienced WordPress users if my solution is the “right” one. (But I did do a lot of research! LOL)
In the Editor, go to content.php. Find the code that reads:
the_excerpt();
Change that to the_content();
Update the file and do a refresh to preview. Mind you, I did this and it worked for my static home page. Not sure if you’re having an issue with a different page…
Also, remember to backup everything you’re touching! ??
It worked for me. Hopefully it will for you as well.
Let me know either way.

In reply to: Footer error and Dashboard issueThank you for your response, I really appreciate it!
I actually figured out the problem (it would have driven me nuts to not know what happened so I kept at it, though I did have the file replacement on my mind too! LOL).
The issue was the apostrophe after the word “Parents'”. That one little mark caused the php errors and also made the dashboard disappear. SMH. Thanks again though!
