Thanks guys, I guess I’m below the level of everyone here. I have seen these instructions many times but don’t know what the wp-content directory is or how to find it.

You say:
you need to make the folder uploads writable. all the folders in uploads needs to writable as well.
Okay, great. Um, how would I do that?
