I did recently delete a backup, so maybe inadvertently deleted it, but it just updated to the latest version last night, so not sure how it could have if it’s deleted.

Tomas – thanks. i should have checked the plugins before posting since that worked. not sure which was the problem but simply deactivating seemed to help.

i am now able to make the crop work. plugin is buggy, but working for me now.

add’l information – i can see an option to crop the image to ‘Select the area for the thumbnail’, but after selecting the image there is no crop box.

forgot the mention that i cannot post a link to my website since it is in the creation stages and not published live.

i’ve been using firebug, which has been extremely useful, but i cannot figure out the margin equation.
