If this issue occurs on the frontend (not wp-admin) the issue has to do with the theme and not with Tag Pages. Displaying tags is a theme’s responsibility. Having said this, if a Tag X is used on both Page A and Page B it will (normally) be shown on both pages. If you only want to display tag X on Page A, use Tag X only for Page A. Hope this helps.

The Tag Pages plugin does not display tags on your site. It merely allows you to tag pages in wp-admin. Displaying them is your theme’s job.

If I understand you correctly, the tags pages are not shown anymore? This is probably a problem with your theme and not something caused by Tag Pages. Tag Pages does nothing with the showing of tags on your site. It only enables you to use tags on Pages. Displaying tags is the theme’s job, therefor I think the theme might be the culprit.

The theme you are using is probably not supporting pages on the tags page by default. The plugin only makes sure you are able to tag a page. Displaying the results is a theme’s job.

Yes, the last version of Tag Pages works with Gutenberg. It also supports those using the Classic Editor as well.

I’ve updated the plugin and this did the trick. Version 1.0.2 and upwards supports Gutenberg (and Classic Editor).

You can use the default tags with your own custom post types such as the one you’ve created. This is similar to my plugin except I’m adding the default tags to the default pages. In your case you can add the default tags to your Book custom post type.
