Hi, OK, so to take this from another angle, is there a Wordfence setting that you’re aware of which would preclude the sending of just the verification mails as opposed to others relating to Wordfence? Because if so, I should probably check that, since the others do come in and have been reliable for years.
While I understand that all “Wordence” emails come from us and not you, these particular emails do involve an outside party (Google), as opposed to the normal variety of Wordfence emails. So I assume the Wordfence plugin is dealing with Google in some way before sending the email. Given that I wonder what would happen if there was a problem between the plugin and Google. It might prevent those emails from sending. Is there a log of this sort of thing buried somewhere?
The site has no plugin related to sending of emails, so it’s just the normal method that the host uses for sending on the back end. I guess it’s possible that they’re filtering out just these, though that would be pretty wild and I wasn’t aware that was even a possibility. I’ll try to check though. I do know, at least, that the ones that do come in from Wordfence/Wordpress are perfect in terms of SPF/DKIM/DMARC, so the problem shouldn’t be in that direction.
As for the scoring, I think that’s working well, as I really have to botch a login repeatedly before Google steps in. That’s good. We’re on the default of 0.5.
Thanks
@ifx64 For reference, why don’t you list the change you made in that file. I’ll then try it or something similar in this one or any others that turn up (though this one is “Undefined array key “widgetType”)::
elementor/modules/content-sanitizer/module.php (on line 45)
@miloss84 The two that you mention are in Stable Features for us. I don’t know why you’re suggesting that they aren’t. However, there are about 10 Ongoing Experiments. All are on Default. I don’t think that means they’re Active since they don’t say that.
Elementor filling up the logs is a common thing that I and others have mentioned before. I would suggest that you keep an eye on both logs yourself and proactively address things when they turn up there.
Being on PHP 8.1 or 8.2 is probably going to increase what you see, but both are supported versions that shouldn’t be that much of a surprise to you.
Is that the error log in wp-admin or the parent dir? There’s an absolute blizzard of PHP warnings pertaining to Elementor in the wp-admin one for us. Two in particular dominate, over and over.
No, and with no recent updates that’s not surprising. They’re in no rush apparently.

In reply to: Plug-in update failedDid they explain it by any chance? I’ve been getting this most of the month, and I’m getting tired of seeing it.
Our issue is a little different but it feels like it’s for the same cause, and it’s been happening for the timeline that you mentioned.
We’re en_CA and a couple times a day see “Updated translations for “Elementor Pro” (en_CA)” in the activity log. So, it’s repeatedly updating for some reason, while in your case it’s repeatedly trying to update. I don’t actually understand why “translation” is even enabled. It’s English! If I knew how to disable whatever this translation feature is, I would.
Update: The above was in reference to updates happening automatically on some unknown schedule. I do notice, however, that on the very bottom of the WP Updates Dashboard that there is an “Update Translations” button. If I press that, I get the error that you show, which is puzzling given what I’ve written above about the system seemingly updating the translations. I think that what it’s actually doing is repeatedly failing and not saying so, since repeatedly updating successfully makes no sense at all.

Wow, so it was as you described, and I hope this does the trick (won’t know right away, since a few days sometimes separate these emails). I have no idea how I did that originally, and it’s so subtle that I would have never noticed that was then a way to unsubscribe, especially given that it looks like nothing happens when you click on it (as you say, two letters in the URL change). Thanks.
That would seem like the place, but:

I suppose one of those default rules might be kicking in, but I have no connection to any tickets, unless somehow creating a thread in this forum makes a connection. This did start at basically the same time as my creating a thread here about JetPack.
Those are forum topics though, which is not what I’m talking about (I mentioned actually wanting those). The only other thing on the page is listed at the bottom:

But the “From” name is different. For ones from this forum, it’s “www.remarpro.com Forums.”
For the WordPress Plugin emails, the “From” name is omitted.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] 13.0 and backups?Incredibly, hours after writing that, Jetpack 13.1.3 was released:
“Backup: write helper script to ABSPATH by default to avoid backup failures.”
It took some detective work, but I traced that back to this:

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] 13.0 and backups? If that’s a priority, I guess it can be, but it is strange to me how an issue of this level has gone completely unmentioned anywhere that I’ve looked. The release notes for the backup plugin I mentioned above which supposedly has the fix already doesn’t even mention it. So I imagine that the release notes for the Jetpack plugin itself next month won’t either. This doesn’t seem right or plausible.
Still waiting. Can’t be that difficult.

In reply to: [Astra] Where is the current location to disable the header?@bsfherman for the purposes of the question, assume someone already has built the header/footer with Astra. At that point if they no longer want them, they either have to undo that work or do what the article mentions? I was just thinking that there would be a toggle in the UI for such a thing.
