I was never able to get my Web page restored in any convenient way, but rather had to get the guys at GoDaddy to cut and save whatever content they could from the file in the background of the program and email me the document to work from once the page was reinstalled. Not good news I’m afraid.

I have experienced the same thing as some of the other folk in this forum. I only just experienced Clef for the first time two days ago and it seemed to work OK. I am quite new to WP and most likely won’t understand anything more technical than the word ‘Dashboard’!

Yesterday, Clef logged me out after an hour (because I didn’t realise that I could increase the time) and I lost a hours worth of work (typing a blog entry) on WP because I went to ‘update’ what I had written and discovered that I had been logged out automatically, and upon logging back in found that what I had been writing had been deleted without a trace.

Being quite annoyed at this, I then deleted the Clef app off my phone. In the process it asked if I wanted to deactivate Clef on WP and I said yes. I went back to WP to discover that Clef was still there and now I had no way of logging in at all since it did not give a manual option. So I reinstalled the Clef app to my phone only to be told that I can’t use MY email address because it is being used by another user already (me from yesterday!).

So I put in my secondary email address, got the app synced just fine, and Clef seems to think I am now logged in to my WP admin for the website I am working on. But I’m not. Now there IS an option to login manually, but for some reason WP is no longer accepting my usual login details that it was accepting before I chose to use Clef two days ago. Maybe its because I have loaded Clef the second time using an email that is different to the one that is associated with that WP website. I don’t know. I am trying to resolve it with the help of the support guys at GoDaddy, their service so far has been outstanding by the way, always available and they really go the extra mile. Hopefully they can help me, or maybe you can?
