Hi,

This is not relevant to the WP Version, the plugin should run fine on the latest WP version. The problem here is that the exif_read_data() PHP function is not enabled in your host. This function is required, so the plugin will not be effective unless it is enabled.

Depending on your web hosting provider, they could be able to enable it.

I don’t understand the issue now, you’re saying the fixer is working for you, so what’s the problem?

Regarding first requirement, GD Library or ImageMagic, most share hosts have at least one option enabled, so this is not beyond capabilities for most wordpressers.

Sorry, but the plugin currently work for iOS only. I’ll see if I can extend it to support other devices later when I have the capacity, if this issue also happens in Samsung and Sony devices.

The plugin can only detect images taken on iOS cameras.

Could you please send me an image of the original source of the Sony Xperia that’s having this http error so I can investigate it more? Send it to my email: [email protected]

I did 2 things with this version:
1. I revised the code, made sure it’s still working intact with the recent WP version.
2. I added WP Admin Pointer to point to the plugin donate link, that only happens once until you dismiss it.

Could you please share the steps you’ve taken? Did you go to Media > Fix iOS images and run the fix script?

The plugin should not make a copy of the image, it fixes it upon uploading and saves the correct version only. Could you go to WP Admin > Media > iOS Images Fixer page and see if you find broken images there? If so you can run the script to fix them. It should however do that automatically to images upon upload.
