In reply to: Photos not loadingI figured out what you meant I think but I just keep getting this now and can’t do anything.
Gateway Time-out
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

In reply to: Photos not loadingOh and when I say things take several minutes to load, I mean in the ADMIN panel / Dashboard. For instance, I am trying to go to Themes and it still not loaded. Same if I try to do anything in the admin panel.

In reply to: Photos not loadingThank you. I’m not sure what you mean by Default unedited theme. Is that a different theme or a setting on my current theme?

In reply to: Photos not loadingOops, sorry. Here it is. I’ve tried various themes and it’s all the same. I haven’t actually been able to fully customize this theme because it takes so long to do anything.
Right now I keep getting a message that the connection is disconnecting. I’ve tried 2 networks here and it’s not that.
Thanks!

In reply to: Problems no matter what theme….Wow, this just gets better. I registered twice for Suffusion’s forum and never received confirmation e-mails and so can’t get logged in. It says to contact admins if having problems but I don’t see where to do that. Any ideas? Thanks.

In reply to: Problems no matter what theme….So crazy. I’m really not new to WP. My Shantia theme was pretty well customized and looked great until the hack and my host doing something that messed with the formatting – they never could figure it out, nor could I.
I turned off Super Cache and I activated Responsive again and again none of my posts came up – it was their template example, except that my company name was in the header.
So I reactivated Suffusion, after turning off super cache and although I keep changing the background to white, it is still dark gray on my blog…. really seems no themes are working correctly for me…. I’ll go over to their support and try to resolve there too.
Any other ideas?

In reply to: Problems no matter what theme….Oh and Hostway is my host. Having the same issue now with Suffusion so looking for where to deactivate cache. Will that affect my posts?

In reply to: Problems no matter what theme….Thanks. @wpyogi. I’ll try that.
When I updated the Responsive theme and the homepage of my blog defaulted to their “example page” I went on their own forum and the main response was oh there were lots of changes and I got so frustrated I left the theme. I’ll give it another try. Just seems odd if I have to reformat everything after every update but hopefully this will work.

In reply to: Problems no matter what theme….Sorry, notifications went to spam – I guess I’m battling a thousand.
Also sorry about the typo!
@wpyogi Yes, I resinstalled WP, changed passwords and added extra security.
@bottleneck I did an Update on the Responsive theme when I got notification there was one.
My impression was that keeping everything updated (themes, WP, plugins) would help keep hackers out (along with changing PW’s etc.)
Here’s the crazy thing. I built my own website, e-commerce and all. I’m not un-web savvy but WordPress always has issues and right now even switching themes isn’t working because customizations don’t seem to work as they should and support can be difficult for specific themes if they aren’t Pro versions – and really I don’t want to buy a theme and have the same issues, especially just for my blog.
Is there a theme you would recommend for the following needs:
– One main column and a right sidebar.
– Preview of blog posts with photo
– Ability to have a logo in the header
– Ability to change font and theme colorsI know they can all do this, but I mean with some obvious ease. The one I’m trying now from Themekraft lets me choose all these but nothing is changing. So frustrating.
I am having the same issue with the title not rewriting. I’ve posted in a few areas but not gotten any input. It’s just the Titles. I’m using Shantia Theme.
I’d appreciate any help you can give!
Hi there, did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem, have also posted and not gotten any responses or figured the Title issue out….
