Since I started building my webshop, I configurated Mailchimp for Woocommerce in the Settings without any problem. And it works.But recently, I wanted to translate the opt-in sentence “subscribe me to your newsletter” on the checkout and account pages. I found a tutorial, went to Mailchimp settings and only got the white screen with the chimp. No settings at all.
What I did:
- deactivating caching and minifying plugins. Nothing changed.
- Deactivating all plugins expert Woocommerce, Mailchimp for Woocommerce and WPML
- Searching for fatal logs in Woocommerce. There were no fatal logs at all and the Mailchimp logs were OK.
Still only the white screen with the Mailchimp logo is showing.
What to do now? Do you have any suggestions where to look?

Got this answer:“Due to a major attack, it was necessary to completely disable access to XMLRPC, that Jetpack uses, for all of our websites. These attacks targeting the XMLRPC file result in your website and all other customers’ websites going completely offline.
Therefore we have unfortunately been forced to temporarily disable all access to the XMLRPC file to avoid a repeat of this situation.
Our system administrators are working on a solution that would allow legitimate parties (including JetPack) to make normal use of the XMLRPC file.”

Thank you for your quick reaction!
When I tested, I disabled all plugins except Jetpack, so my security plugin was disabled too.
I also removed all rules from .htaccess except php_value memory_limit 256M
It did not help.
I will ask my host if they only offer XML-RPC access by whitelisting IP addresses.

After finding all sorts of possible causes on the internet myself and then an extensive search with the help of others, while TranslatePress still hadn’t responded after a week. Yes, I know, I had the free version, you have to try something first, right? I then got some suggestions from Alex. But, however I appreciate the answer, that was too little too late, honestly. I am sorry to tell that finally I removed Translatepress for good. My patience had run out and I also had no confidence in a real solution anymore. So yes, the problem is solved. So is my translation, unfortunately.

first of all, thanks a lot for your reply.
The settings are OK from the start, and never changed.
The guys of Really Simple SSL helped me a lot already, the other translated pages don’t have any problems anymore (first, there also was strange behavior and redirects on these).
I also read the solutions in the link you mentioned. Thank you.
But sadly in this case none of these solutions helped me out.And: in the meantime I found out that there is 12x https://museo.kunstlokaalno8.nl/nl in the database in wp_trp_dictionary_en_us_nl_nl_formal and wp_trp_original_strings.
Changed that to https://museo.kunstlokaalno8.nl.Nothing changed ??
I have no double pages. But is it possible, maybe, that WordPress is seeing the homepage and the translated homepage as double pages?
