1.21 worked for me without having to clean the cxifent_advps_optionset” “cxifent_advps_thumbnail” from database

So now it’s back up and working.

Not updating to new version even when it’s fixed because i see now point.

New version doesn’t have the ability to display posts from a category.

yes. i’ll go ahead and do that but we are a live site with decent amounts of traffic. so i don’t want to take it down unless i really have to.

What i need to know is are you gonna be around? Because I really need to have the problems fixed and i’m counting on you to help us out.

so we’d do this to check if a plugin is causing the issue right?

Then it’s a case of finding the offending plugin and removing it?

I fear one of the plugins has overwritten some of the code, somewhere.

What i’m really looking for is extremely knowledgeable and helpful human being to login to our site and tell us what’s wrong.

Didn’t find which plug in was causing the problem. Removed the latest ones.

Installed a google anayltics code plugin that was blocking javascript on our site.

Also a meta tags plug in – which i believe to be the culprit.

We also had a security plugin that would crash the whole site when you tried to change the settings.

An IT guy we’re working with said the core was broken, so we updated to 3.8.3 today but it didn’t make any difference.

Using a server hosted installation.
