I am afraid that you might have misunderstood the situation. After the latest WordPress update, many of the features of my website ceased working properly.
The most noticeable was that many features were missing, especially the pages built with the Elementor page builder, which my site uses extensively.

Also, when attempting to type anything into the WP Project Management Pro plugin by WeDevs, the text could not be saved and would be removed entirely upon attempting to save. This was true with a full page of text, where a single misspelled word was changed and then when the page was saved, all of the text in the document was removed.

I have no idea why the shortcodes used in EBD would be breaking other parts of the site that do not use EBD. The only place I used the EBD shortcode was on a single post, that did not use the Elementor page builder, nor was the post inside of WP Project Manager Pro.

It appeared to me that there must be code in EBD that interferes with other parts of WordPress, and this should not be occurring.

Naveen, I noted your problem on Email Before Download on the support forum. I had the same problem, which was that my page was changing the quote marks, when I pasted the code into the page. Here is my code that does work. Note that the quotes are straight up, and not curved.

    Hope this works for you!

Loralee, I am using PHP 5.5 at the moment. My hosting service is working on installing the most current version of PHP without a due date given. I am afraid that by the time they get PHP 5.5 installed, Lifter will need 5.6, thus the problem may only continue.

I found a fix for my sites in which the Visual Editor was not showing.

I had been working on a posting and had the Visual Editor. I went back to the dashboard and saw the notice that there was a new WP upgrade so I upgraded. Immediately after upgrading, I went back to the same post and my Visual Editor was gone and I was stuck in the Text mode.

Knowing the there was checkbox in my profile to disable the Visual Editor, I went there and lo and behold the box was checked.

Apparently when I upgraded to WP3.5 it reset all of my users to “Disable the visual editor when writing”. I simply went to the profile of each user and unchecked the box at the top of each user’s page and voila the problem was resolved.

I don’t understand why people are so fond of directing problems with a link to a page that does not address the issue. The Visual Editor mode is a bug in WP3.5 for a great number of people. The link above does not address this bug.

That is very strange that the visual editor works for one person, but for so many others it does not. I have perhaps 25 WordPress sites, all different themes, different plug ins, but after upgrading to WP 3.5 none of the them have a full compliment of editing tools as they previously did. I am stuck in the Text editing section and do not have a Visual tab.

It could be that you have an extra <div> in your html on that page. Or, you did not close with a </div>. This is quite common when performing a cut and paste.

While this works for those still using Windows, it doesn’t work well on a Macintosh as it doesn’t include the Command-A key, which is Select All on a Mac.

Since most of my readers are Macintosh-based it doesn’t work for me like I would like for it to work.

It would have been a nicety to see the developers include those key stroke that are relevant for the Mac.

Got it this time. My FTP was stalling and not uploading the entire WordPress contents.

Perhaps it didn’t upload fully to my server.

Perhaps, my message was not clear. I stated that the install.php was not in the wp-admin directory on MY SERVER after upload. I assume that you only looked in your unzipped file on your computer.

Strange, that we would get two different results from the same download. I will try a third time.

Hirvesh, do your links have the “?” in their code, i.e. just before the page number? This is a problem that I have had for some time now. They are only missing in my Related Post section.

Still no resolve. I have looked everywhere for an answer to this, but so far – Nothing!

My Recent Post tags do not have the “?” and thus return an error. It seems that a good many folks are having the same problem, but I have seen nothing about a resolve yet.

Does anyone have an answer to this? I’d settle for not having the Recent Post links at all, rather than having them dead end to nowhere. Any suggestions? Anyone?
