create a “global” header that appears on every page. Then create a second header to be applied to the home page, individually, by using the on-page setting on just the home page.

An update to my problem. Had a conflicting index.html page in the root which made the home page not come up. I deleted that. Now the home page comes up….. but all other pages get a 404 error. They all show in the admin area. So they’re in the database. Must be some kind of permalink or pathing problem. Any ideas?

Guess I would use PHPmyAdmin to import the backup SQL to the database? Then when trying to restart WP2.5 it will try to update? There is a database connected right now with no added content. But it is already connected to wp-config.php. Can I use that database? Or do I have to put the backup info into a totally fresh database before I let WordPress know about it?

I should follow this up by saying that most of this started when removing a number of plugins to troubleshoot ANOTHER problem. Geez
