In reply to: Remove the /type/standard/ archiveThe problem isn’t solved. I redirected the page to keep things tidy. Would prefer to fix, but am happy to mark as resolved if you prefer. Please let me know.
Thanks for this, I forgot about using !important to override.
At first it didn’t work, so I checked the plug-ins and found this plug-in was stopping the extra CSS from loading:
WP Remove Query Strings From Static Resources

In reply to: [Post Kinds] Why are archives redirecting?I deactivated the plug-in while troubleshooting other problems.
It may have been confusing if you looked at the site after I did that.
Sorry about that.
I think I found the problem… but I’m not 100% sure. There’s a setting in the Yoast SEO plug-in which blocks archive pages. I don’t need SEO, so can live without that. I’ll check this again tomorrow and report back.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Only one related linkThanks Dan.
Switching off all custom CSS didn’t fix the problem. So that’s probably not the issue.
The child theme style.css is empty, so it’s not that.
All the child theme functions.php does is queue up the style from the parent theme, so it isn’t that.
I checked by turning off all the other plug-ins, got the same, so that’s not the issue.
I turned off CSS magnification and looked at the underlying HTML which shows there are hidden related posts, so now we need to figure out what is doing the hiding.

In reply to: [Surge] Site Health says caching not installed correctlyI’ve uninstalled Surge for now. No reflection on the plug-in, just that it doesn’t work with Pressable.

In reply to: [Surge] Site Health says caching not installed correctlyIn that case, it will be the issue with the main site too.
It’s interesting that online tools like GTMetrix tell me the site is not cached.

In reply to: [Surge] Site Health says caching not installed correctlyI tried Surge with all other plug-ins deactivated.
Same problem.
So I tried it on my staging website:
https://billb.mystagingwebsite.com/
And found the same problem.
So I’m thinking it could be specific to my hosting company: Pressable.
Does this seem likely?

In reply to: [Surge] Site Health says caching not installed correctlyThat’s pretty much ALL it says.
The exact words are:
“Looks like the Surge page caching plugin is not installed correctly. Please try to deactivate and activate it again in the Plugins screen. If that does not help, please visit the www.remarpro.com support forums.”
I could send a screen shot, but I don’t think I can paste one here.
And yes, I deactivated WP Rocket and tried switching off and on a few times. I started turning off plug-ins, but haven’t done the entire set as that can be disruptive.
I don’t do widgets, but I found a workaround by putting the sign-up block on a separate page.

In reply to: Stats column on WP Admin All Posts screenThat’s a helpful start. Thanks George.

In reply to: [StatCounter - Free Real Time Visitor Stats] Dashboard stats not workingYes. I found out it is linked to privacy browser extension. It’s a touch inconvenient not being able to see the stats direct from the WordPress dashboard, but going to the StatCounter site isn’t hard, (and that isn’t blocked by my browser) so we can mark this as resolved.

In reply to: [StatCounter - Free Real Time Visitor Stats] Dashboard stats not workingHi Tarak,
I logged a message the Helpdesk, but for the benefit of others reading this, I have tried with Safari on my Mac, Safari on my iPad and Firefox on my Mac. It’s the same with all three.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Block before the page title?Yes, I thought about that, but I’m nervous about hiding a title in case it makes the page look flaky to security tools.
