I also just lost my admin icons and do some post editing with Opera.

I fixed it by realizing Javascript was turned off turning it back on.

With all the awful surveillance going on by NSA and Yahoo its a bit spooky to read about the surprise Yahoo cookie.

However, I could not replicate your result; could not find a Yahoo cookie in Opera. It could be sneakily hidden and you reported it a month ago and WP just did (an un-welcome) automatic update. If you tell me what sub directory to looking I’ll be happy to do so.

(This may need another topic, but what bothered me was finding 9 to 11 cookies for each of my WordPress Blogs ! Some of them appear specific to a plugin, others seem to be unlinked to any plugin.)

Update: It seems to be working now.
The torrent has reduced to a trickle.

By the way when I reported 24 new span comments earlier, apparently I was overlooking the 1,000+ that had been captured and automatically put in the Spam folder. That led us both to suspect the whole avalanche was by human assisted bots.

I changed the Checkbox Name and the secret key as well.

Occasionally a couple are from the same IP, most are not.

“Maximum moderated comments” was at 2 – changing to 1

“Maximum number of URLs allowed in comment text” is 1

and I always send the (not close to even) suspicious comments to Spam

I downloaded both new versions – but Comment Spam is still pouring in faster than ever. I had 38 last night.

Any ideas ?

Hi Frank,

Like your WP DoNotTrack, but I had a problem using it with
“Share Buttons” by Lockerz / AddToAny – their menu wouldn’t
pop up any more.

Had to disable your plugin – for now.
Let me know if you get this solved.
