I dont think this solution will work either.

The products included in bundles are not separate from their stand-alone product versions. As a product is purchased in a bundle, that single product is deducted from inventory and changed as “free” in the bundle.

Adding an exception to a rule would cause this product to not be discounted if it was purchased by itself, outside of the bundle.
