In reply to: Photos do not display when posting from IphoneSame problem and same solution. Wasn’t showing uploaded pics so i upgraded to 2.8.2 via internal upgrader and it didn’t work. Downloaded from www.remarpro.com and uploaded xmlrpc.php and it works!
Did you ever figure it out? I’m having the same problem.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP e-Commerce] Don’t be fooled – buggy plugin, little supportFrustrated with the lack of support for a FREE plugin? Maybe you should go to elance.com or hireafreelancer.com and ask them how much it will cost to create a plugin. After you spend $2000 or more creating your own plugin, you’ll get to pay again when you update WordPress?
That definitely sounds like a better solution if you would rather complain that take the help that is give to you at no charge.

In reply to: Permission error when trying to upgrade?Don’t know if it will help you, but I found a solution to my problem.
My folders were set to 555 instead of 755. I changed them to 755 and ran the upgrader again and it worked.
Wrong: 555 – /home/***/public_html/example.com
Right: 755 – /home/***/public_html/example.comHope it helps.

In reply to: image upload problem – parent directory writeableI was able to fix mine.
Under Settings > Misc > I totally deleted everything in the “Store uploads in this folder” box. Underneath that box it says, “Default is wp-content/uploads”. My box had something totally different.
When I removed everything from that box and saved it, it immediately worked, no chmod’ing anything.
I have a dedicated server and my site is working great at my free web hosting site.
