For anyone wondering, there is a fix in place for this bug for WordPress 3.7.

I’m seeing the same thing. With WordPress 3.6, this theme should be updated to completely remove MediaElement.js and allow the 3.6 player to work.

Geoff, first, the version of WordPress you are running (2.8.4) is 4 years old. There have been a lot of changes in that time. I first recommend that you update to the latest version.

After you update, you’ll have a plugin called “Akismet,” which is an anti-comment spam plugin. Activate it and use it.

Thanks for the info. I am using another plugin (Sermon Browser) that can output a shortcode to call an audio player. You can have it use any shortcode you want, but currently the way the plugin works, it has to be a shortcode. I’ll have to work with the plugin author to see if we can get it to work with code like your example above.

Another question I have: Since you don’t use shortcodes, mb.miniAudioPlayer takes over all links to .mp3 files on the entire website. What if I have a link to an .mp3 file that I don’t want to use mb.miniAudioPlayer on?

It looks like you need to go to Tools -> Beta Testing and select “Bleeding edge nightlies”. After you do that, when you Update, you’ll get 3.6 Beta.

I have the same problem on my site. If you look at the blog index, the Recent Posts widget does not contain any gig posts:

But if you go to an individual post page, the Recent Posts widget is full of gigs:

Any ideas?

P.S. I’m guessing that Jason above doesn’t have this problem on his website currently because he doesn’t have any gigs currently. ??

Martin, could you post version 2.0 beta 6 somewhere so that these guys could test it and see if it works on their Sermon Browser sites?

jeremyt323 & codename_delta, for 1.2.3, in the WordPress control panel, if you go to Settings, Audio player, do you see a player toward the bottom of the page looping through a 10 second silent test file? If you don’t see this player, then you don’t have the plugin installed correctly; the problem might be that the files were uploaded to the wrong location. See this post for more details.
