    My previous test visits now show on Site Kit, so it all seems OK now.

    I’ll mark this as resolved.

    Thanks for your help. It’s appreciated.

    James,

    Because I thought I’d switched off LiteSpeed on the host account panel, I had to get advice from the host managers. They said that the code on your screen capture is showing Lightspeed code (not Litespeed) with the former being they believed due to the WP Compress plugin and the associated caching/compress service. So I’ve switched on LiteSpeed again.

    As I require the WP Compress service, I checked the karavadra.net site which also uses the same plugin and service and because karavadra.net fires/updates the Analytics OK, I simply copied the config over to tryit.tv and noticed that the Google Tag Manager was previously set to lazy load on tryit.tv. This is now off for tryit.tv which now as the same settings as karavadra.net

    The Analytics now seem to be firing in live view in Analytics after testing on a couple of browser. See here: https://a.cl.ly/NQuAlvPB

    However no activity shows in Site Kit, which may be due to it taking longer than a few minutes for the firing to appear.

    So, before we switch off both Litespeed and WPCompress, can you please do your checks and feedback?

    Thank you,
    Bharat

    Hello James,

    Litespeed cache on a server level seems to have been enabled for tryit.tv See here: https://a.cl.ly/JruEOLEm (and also on karavadra.net).

    However the WordPress LiteSpeed plugin is installed but NOT activated on tryit.tv (and not installed on karavadra.net)

    I have now disabled LiteSpeed on tryit.tv on the server level and left the plugin deactivated. karavadra.net has LiteSpeed enabled on the server level, and the plugin is not installed.

    However on disabling LiteSpeed on tryit.tv it said. It alerted ‘LiteSpeed Cache Already Disabled – No Action Taken’. See here: https://a.cl.ly/12ulgNWr

    It seems odd that LiteSpeed is enabled on karavadra.net (on server level) and that fires/updates the Analytics but not on tryit.tv. Could it be just the deactivated plugin on tryit.tv?

    Can you please do your checks.

    Thank you,
    Bharat

    @jamesosborne,

    Regarding Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit (on tryit.tv), in Google Analytics there is only one website/property/data stream, so there is nothing for me to change as such.

    on tryit.tv, the Measurement ID & Google Tag ID are different. See here: https://a.cl.ly/kpuZJEAk with parts covered.

    on karavadra.net, where I also use Site Kit, the Measurement ID & Google Tag ID are the same. See here: https://a.cl.ly/Bluvoyvg The Analytics are firing/updating here.

    The different Measurement and Tag ID’s are what I thought the issue was due to on tryit.tv, but I’ll leave that for you to consider?

    Both tryit.tv and karavadra.net use the same consent management system, but I’ve switched it off on tryit.tv. So can you do your check on both tryit.tv (consent off) and karavadra.net (consent on)?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you again,
    Bharat

    Hello @jamesosborne , thank you for looking into this.

    Yes, the Google Analytics code is placed by Site Kit code on the site, and it contains the Google Tag ID starting with GT-

    However, the tag in the code for the site in this screen https://a.cl.ly/GGuB4b74 (I’ve blanked out most of the tag) in admin of Google Analytics has a different tag start with G- , and that’s I why I feel visits have stopped being received in Analytics.

    Re: the set-up. I reset Site Kit on the site and connected again, and on the final connection screen, for the site, there is only one Property and one Data Stream. See here: https://a.cl.ly/BluvDmeb Again, the tag ID on this different to the tag ID in the code placed on the site by Site Kit.

    I’ve submitted the form with the Site Health information. It has a copy of this message.

    Re: recent data, no visitors appear in the last 28 days, even though there have been visits, but impressions show something which is a confusing if there we no visitors. See here: https://a.cl.ly/yAuz0gNl

    I’d appreciate your suggestions.

    Hello Animesh,
    Note that we tested by switching off all the plugins and the mobile app still had the same issues.

    It may be that the mobile app has very frequent server access which is causing brute force protection to activate blocks and preventing the app from functioning practically.

    The app development team should be more aware of the workings of the app and why it’s causing brute force protection apps.

    If you are able, it would be useful to pass on this discussion to the mobile app development team.

    Thank you.

    (@bharatk)

    Hello all,
    Thank you all those you made suggestions and for your patience.

    After my wonderful server guys looked into the situation, they discovered the server’s brute force protection was blocking access to the app (web access is OK even though that became temporarily inaccessible after using the mobile app).

    They specifically switched off Litespeed WordPressProtect in the .htaccess file and the sites now work OK on the mobile app.

    This is what they added in the .htaccess file:

    <IfModule Litespeed>
    WordPressProtect off
    </IfModule>

    So, it seems how the mobile app accesses the server requires some attention.

    I hope this helps

    Regards,
    Bharat

    Hello @alinclamba ,
    Thanks for the advice but both the WordPress and Site URL were https://karavadra.net with no ‘/blog/ after either of them.
    Working with the host, we found a plugin that was causing a ‘site health’ REST API error. Not sure why but I disabled the plugin and the REST API error disappeared. However the WordPress app still doesn’t load the posts, pages, media nor comments.
    I’ve updated the host and will update you here with any info.
    In the meantime, if you have any suggestions then I’d appreciate them.
    Thank you,
    Bharat

    @iamtakashi thank you for looking into this.

    I switched off the plugins and one made a difference which was the WP Code Lite plugin.

    However, it doesn’t seem to the plugin itself that is causing an issue but more so a JavaScript embed in the body of pages (the plugin allows adding of scripts to the header, body and footer).

    It’s specifically the following script causing the issue which is from VBOUT and is required to use their website tracking features:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    /* embed code starts */
    var _vbset = _vbset || [];
    _vbset.push(['_account', 'VBT-46847-4008']);
    _vbset.push(['_domain', 'https://karavadra.net']);

    (function() {
    	var vbt = document.createElement('script'); vbt.type = 'text/javascript'; vbt.async = true;
    	vbt.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'https://') + 'www.vbt.io/tracker?_account='+_vbset[0][1]+'&_domain='+_vbset[1][1];var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(vbt, s);
    })();
    /* embed code ends */
    </script>

    I can’t see how this is affecting the padding, and before I contact VBOUT, do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you,
    Bharat

    (@bharatk)

    @iamarinoh , thank you for the suggestions, I grouped some elements as you said but that didn’t seem to work, but I then adjusted some content/wide and padding/margin settings and the layout seems OK now on a mobile.

    I feel the grouping did help eventually somehow but I’m not sure how.

    Thank you for your help with this. It’s appreciated.

    @foosantos the code you provided helped. I re-created the menu and it wraps and switches to the mobile menu a little better.

    This theme and block editor take some getting used to.
    Even though I probably have to rethink the menu, it’ll stay as it is for now.
    Thank you for your help with this. I really appreciate it.
    Have a great day,

    (@bharatk)

    @foosantos Thanks for your suggestion, I however had the idea of removing the search on the right and the logo on the left. On doing that the menu switches similar to the animated gif in your last message.

    It seems that only the width of menu text is considered when determining when it switches to the mobile menu, when it would be better for the whole width of the menu should be considered, no matter elements make up the menu.

    @foosantos thank you for showing where the header code was in WordPress 6.3. I’ve copied it below:

    <!-- wp:group {"style":{"spacing":{"padding":{"top":"5px","right":"5px","bottom":"5px","left":"5px"}},"border":{"width":"0px","style":"none"},"typography":{"fontSize":"60px"}},"layout":{"type":"default"}} -->
    <div class="wp-block-group" style="border-style:none;border-width:0px;padding-top:5px;padding-right:5px;padding-bottom:5px;padding-left:5px;font-size:60px"><!-- wp:navigation {"ref":3755,"customTextColor":"#27ccc0","icon":"menu","hasIcon":false,"layout":{"type":"flex","justifyContent":"center","flexWrap":"nowrap"},"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"600"}}} /--></div>
    <!-- /wp:group -->

    <!-- wp:separator {"backgroundColor":"cyan-bluish-gray","className":"is-style-wide"} -->
    <hr class="wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background is-style-wide"/>

    @foosantos , thank you for continuing to look into this. It’s appreciated.

    I’ve just updated to WordPress 6.3 so please consider that going forwards.

    Selecting the header and copying the code in 6.3 was slightly different as here: https://a.cl.ly/Z4uGEBbX

    The code is below:

    <!-- wp:template-part {"slug":"header","theme":"twentytwentythree","tagName":"header"} /-->

    <!-- wp:group {"tagName":"main","style":{"spacing":{"margin":{"top":"var:preset|spacing|30"}}}} -->
    <main class="wp-block-group" style="margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)"><!-- wp:group {"style":{"elements":{"link":{"color":{"text":"var:preset|color|vivid-green-cyan"}}}},"textColor":"contrast","layout":{"type":"constrained","wideSize":"1080px"}} -->
    <div class="wp-block-group has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color"><!-- wp:post-title {"level":1,"align":"wide","style":{"spacing":{"margin":{"bottom":"0","top":"0px"},"padding":{"top":"0"}},"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"700","fontSize":"3rem"}}} /-->

    <!-- wp:post-featured-image /--></div>
    <!-- /wp:group -->

    <!-- wp:spacer {"height":"20px"} -->
    <div style="height:20px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>
    <!-- /wp:spacer -->

    <!-- wp:post-content {"layout":{"type":"constrained","contentSize":"1080px"},"fontSize":"medium","fontFamily":"dm-sans"} /-->

    <!-- wp:template-part {"slug":"comments","theme":"twentytwentythree","tagName":"section"} /--></main>
    <!-- /wp:group -->

    <!-- wp:template-part {"slug":"footer","theme":"twentytwentythree","tagName":"footer"} /-->

    I hope that’s OK. Let me know if otherwise.
