Thanks. I’ll contact bluehost. I can’t find anything on their cpanel that mentions caching or how to clear it.
It’s on Bluehost.

In reply to: Child Theme and Template TagThe function I want to change is called twentyfifteen_post_thumbnail()
I want to have captions displayed under featured images. I successfully did this by modifying this function in the parent theme. I added a line that printed the image description below the featured image. This does exactly what I want it to do.
However I know this will get overwritten by a theme update so I want to make the change in my child theme instead.
I am already using a child theme with a different theme modification.

In reply to: Jetpack Related Posts – how to exclude multiple categories?I am having the exact same problem. I tried adding the code above 2 weeks ago and at first it seemed to work. then I made a small change to a post yesterday and when I did a related post from one of the excluded categories popped up.

I’m trying to exclude related posts from the category “events”.

In reply to: Jetpack Related Posts – how to exclude multiple categories?I have been wanting to do the exact same thing. This solution worked for me.
I was about to switch to a different plugin. Glad I decided to look on the forum first, because I prefer the way this plugin formats the results.

In reply to: [WP Edit] NaN in image resize fieldThanks for asking.
I am not able to duplicate the problem now.
I will consider it resolved.
Resolved!
Changing the permalinks structure did the trick.
Thanks, muchI also found this error –
POST https://npsot.org/wp/kerrville/index.php/photocrati_ajax?action=upload_image&gallery_id=2&gallery_name= 404 (Not Found) plupload.full.min.js?ver=3.9.1:14
I do not see any error messages myself. The admin for that site says she sees the message “http error” when she tries to upload. However all I see is a small yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. I get a popup message that says “Upload complete. 0 images were uploaded” I can create a gallery for it using the manage gallery tab.
Using FileZilla I can detect that a gallery folder was created in the appropriate spot but it is empty.
This particular site was created on on 6/24/2013. NextGen Gallery would have been network-enabled for it at the time of creation. However the admin for that site never tried to use the Gallery plugin until 2 days ago. She does use the regular Media built-in to store individual photos.
There are 43 sites in this installation. The first one was created in 2010 and used NextGen Gallery from the start. I have started testing all the sites to see if Gallery works. So far I have found only one other site that does not work. Interestingly it was also created on the exact same day – 6/24/2013. The admin for that site has also never tried to create a Next Gen Gallery. This is not unusual as many of the admins on these sites do not use all the capabilities of the sites.
I have not tried disabling the plugins, as they are network-enabled and if I disable them I will get telephone calls from admins of the sites.

In reply to: [Cyclone Slider] show submenu over sliderNever mind. Adding a z-index to the CSS for the menu fixed it.
It does work now. Sorry I hadn’t looked at it since I updated.

In reply to: Jetpack feedback exporter gives blank pageTo clarify, this is the export feature at the bottom of the Feedback page that is part of the Jetpack plugin.
It is NOT about the “Jetpack Feedback Exporter” plugin.
Got the same warning messages about line 1702 in query.php.
I deactivated it at the network dashboard and activated at the individual site and the warning messages went away.
But now there is a different problem. I use the NextGen Widget and the images called don’t seem to resize properly. The dimensions are correct but the resolution is “fuzzy”.
