Hi! So three years ago I changed jobs, changed computers, and started an MBA program all around the same time. And about a year after that my third child was born. Unfortunately updating this plugin has fallen by the wayside. I’ll see if I can dust off the last revisions I was planning to make and move forward with something.

Well, technically you could edit your PHP settings to just ignore errors like this…But you shouldn’t have to. Dealing with picky PHP rules is part of being a plugin developer. ??
I just uploaded yet another version of the plugin that should take care of it.

I just uploaded version 3.2.8.2 and this should solve the issue.

It works on pages, too.
It does have instructions on the “FAQ Admin Page” in the dashboard menu. Lots of people have used it just fine.

Come to think of it, I think I’ve been confused for them before. I wonder how much they owe me for unwittingly helping their customers over the years.

As you can see in your screencast, you are using the Easy FAQs plugin.

However, you are seeking support on the forum for Easy FAQ With Expanding Text—a different plugin.

Really, there is a plugin somewhere creating that menu. If you deactivate that plugin, both menus will go away. But Easy FAQ With Expanding Text doesn’t create a menu called “FAQs,” only a menu that is titled “FAQ Admin Page.”

My plugin does not create that menu, so you should check for another FAQ plugin you have installed.

I’m glad you like the plugin and that it works for you. I hope the visual cues / bullets feature will help your client’s audience realize that there is more text to be revealed.

I’m not sure why the page would behave differently in preview and live. But it looks like in live mode, the page is not loading the faqmaker javascript file that is required. When you see it work in the preview, are you previewing the entire home page, or are you previewing a separate page that is pulled into the home page in some way?
