Mike – I’m having the same issues as tessgadwa, only different details.
I’m using PHP 5.26 and on Linux host. I receive the ‘Test’ email fine, but nothing from the contact page. The emails i’m testing with are from the same domain as my site, and I’ve tried the ‘from’ and ‘to’ hacks in the FAQ.
My ‘test’ site: https://dev-jbf-consulting.com.s66119.gridserver.com/company/contact
Plugin version 2.6.2
Thanks for any input / ideas – looking forward to using this!

In reply to: Moving WP to new host: Blog pages display text only, links invalidstvwlf – many thanks.
While I haven’t tried your approach (yet), your basic theme was correct. I found an errant URL in my new DB which was yielding the red-herring errors on my login.
For those of you using Media Temple hosting, they require all installations in the /yourdomain/html directory – which I was using in my DB siteurl and home fields (https://yourdomain.com/html/blog as my example). Media Temple support explained that the ‘html’ folder wasn’t necessary – it’s an Apache folder in my layman’s terms – and it shouldn’t be part of the URL to point to.
Once I removed the /html bit – no errors at all. I knew it was something easy.
Thanks stvwlf for keeping me focused on the key issue.

In reply to: Moving WP to new host: Blog pages display text only, links invalidstvwlf – thanks for the follow up. I’ll give this a shot & it makes sense to me w/exception of the drop tables step.
Just to clarify – I’m assuming that you are dropping the tables on the ‘new’ install (where I’m moving my DB to) which also implies that you’ve at least installed mysql there.
Should I backup my ‘old’ db, copy, replace data as you instructed on the copy, load ‘old’ db into ‘new’ domain, delete tables, import ‘new copy’ into ‘new’ domain?
Am I getting that right?
Thanks

In reply to: Moving WP to new host: Blog pages display text only, links invalidstvwlf – thanks for the link. Yes, I certainly have followed those steps as well.
Here is where the wheels come off: (from the ‘Moving WP’ link that I’ve had open for the past 8 days)
Step #6) Upload the NEW blog’s installation folder to your new site. Presto, your NEW blog should be working!
So – you see that the steps that I took (listed above in my original post with great care) should have opened the door for me to attempt the WP #6 “triple lindy”…and come to find out that I have failed.
stvwlf – did you see anything I missed?

In reply to: theme not displaying in subdomain installZark – any resolution to your post???
I’m having a similar situation – symptom presents with the ‘text’ and links (which throw ‘page not found’ error messages).
I have recently moved my WP installation to a new hosting provider (same domain). I’ve been ‘testing’ for about a week now, and can’t figure it out (in all my spare time).
The instructions on ‘Moving WP’ seem so simple…
Note: If you are changing to a new server but same domain, all you need to do is edit wp-config.php and upload everything as it is to your new server.
I’ve done this (and much more) and remedied some other errors, but still no page will display with my theme. Still can’t login to wp-admin either.
I read somewhere else that adding a ‘.htaccess’ file remedied a problem that sounds similar – but I’m cautious.
