Thanks to both of you. I found it (edited it in phpMyAdmin). ?? Site is now not working again because I just changed name servers and now it’s directing to the old host again even though it had briefly directed to the new one but that’s probably just a matter of time and unrelated to this issue.
Phew, for a little while I was worried I had broken my blog after just setting it up (moved it from Blogger to WP).

This problem is still occurring for me, except now it is every single time I edit or publish a new post (since RC1).
I am also with GoDaddy, like BettyJJ. I never had this problem before 2.7.

Thanks. Turns out this post solved the problem for me. I had not disabled the WPAU plugin on the subdomain blog (but I had on the main one), I just disabled and deleted it (as it has become redundant anyway) and now the upgrade worked.

Okay, I just opened my blog in FF safe mode and it worked, so I figured it had to do with an extension. I disabled them one-by-one to see which one it was. Turns out it’s Adblock. I tried just wiping out the list of blocked sites, but it still doesn’t work. Looks like I have to disable Adblock for the videos to work. Not an ideal solution and I have no clue why this happens, but at least now I know it’s Adblock.
Thanks for the help, turns out it had nothing to do with WP.

Edit: I just downloaded a different extension to replace Adblock, the videos work with this one. Hooray!

Oh it does work for you? Weird, maybe it’s just me then. I will check if I have the most recent version of Flash installed. Thanks.

Edit: I just downloaded the most recent version of Flash but it still doesn’t work. Hmmm…

For me it kept the threaded structure I used to have with the Threaded Comment plugin. Phew!

I still haven’t solved this, so I would be very thankful for a reply. Thanks.

Whether your theme is compatible depends on the theme, same goes for the plugin. I can just tell you mine were just fine with the beta releases of 2.7, and a few days ago or so the theme author released a new version of the theme that is fully compatible with all new functions of 2.7 (before, the theme worked fine but I wasn’t able to use the new functions such as threaded comments).

The roadmap doesn’t say a specific day anymore now, just November 2008. Anyway, I have been using the betas since they were made available (beta1 – beta 3), and with the exception of a few minor bugs they work really well, so you could just start with 2.7-beta3 now and then upgrade to the stable release when it is available. Luckily as of 2.7 WP has an auto-upgrade function, so upgrading is super easy now.

I have been having the same issue, but not just with pages but also with posts, when publishing or editing one. It doesn’t make any sense because clearly the page/post does exist. I have also had the issue that at times it wouldn’t save my edits after showing me this error message but usually it does.

Okay, I just tried it again, I re-uploaded wp-admin and wp-includes and deleted all cookies for my site as well as the cache and that worked. I can now log in. Hooray. Now I hope I don’t run into any more issues after I post for the first time on 2.6.
The wp-upgrade.php had already worked before though (it had said that the upgrade was successful), all it did for me was keep sending me to the login page.

I have the same problem, that I cannot log in. It just keeps taking me back to the log in page. I’m going to try to downgrade back to 2.5.1 now.
I hope this bug is solved, to me it is pretty certain it is one, seeing as so many people seem to be experiencing the same issue.
I have been using WP for three years now, I have done many upgrades since, and never had problems like this.

Mine did two months ago (the reason I originally started the topic). And I have used scheduled posting once or twice since and everything worked normally.
