@pputzer, thanks for your reply. I didn’t check again, yet, but have a question: how is it possible then, that the problem only arises, if I have wp-typography and wpforms-lite activated at the same time? If I disable one of them, the problem is gone.

I know that the conflicting plugin is WPForms Lite. That’s why I posted it here. I also just checked it and saw that there is indeed a “polyfill-mbstring” folder inside the structure of the WPForms Lite plugin.

wow, thanks for the quick reply. How did you see it so fast (since I did not post in the wp typography board)?

I just checked with my hosting provider and it seems I can only upgrade to PHP 7.3 right now. Would that be enough already or does it have to be PHP 7.4?

sorry, i resolved the issue in the mean time. there was en error with the exif data of the picture. however i dont know the precise error because the EXIF data looked fine. i deleted the EXIF data of the picture and then it worked.

this was my mistake. i made another change a few weeks ago: i added a custom sortable column to the listings of a custom post type. this did affect the listing of my posts… i resolved it now by fixing the code, i added a few weeks ago.

I use the plugin Custom Post Type Permalinks. but when i disable it, the permalinks still dont work.

thanks for the hint. however, i tried setting the permalinks settings back and forth multiple times. it still doesn’t work.. :/

when i change back to the default template (twentyfifteen) it works. so it must be an issue of zerif lite. can you help me where to look? i can read php code, so maybe i can find something…

the strange thing is that in the admin backend, the posts are “counted”, because it says that there are 4 posts. but they do not appear in the list.

everything is resolved. after a recent update of the theme the issue is not present anymore. at lest for me.
