Actually I have IE9. I am not sure about IE8. but my problem solved just by clicking the “compatibility view” icon next to url bar!

Hi,
I noticed that in I.E. if you change the “compatibility VIEW” the feedback tab on the left of the screen disappears.
You can change it to see what happens!

I just uninstall it and again install it and it worked. Hope this will work for you.

I had the same problem, but the problem solved when I opened Facebook Application List and re-save the page!
