Today I continued trying to find a fix for my problem. I went to my WordPress Updates under my Dashboard button. There it said that I had Theme Twenty-Ten and there was an update available. This was news to me as I have a child theme of Redux.

Anyway, I clicked on Update Theme Twenty-Ten and lo, and behold, all my little icons returned and the X’s were gone, except for one. I have the Jetpack plug-in and the X was still present in front of the Jetpack button.

I guess I will leave well-enough alone and settle for just the one X on my Dashboard.

Well, I had my hosting company apply the correction. I also disabled all of my plug-ins. Neither fix worked. There are still the same errors on my dashboard, though the description of the error is gone.

I am checking them out now. Thanks for sending the link. I never thought about a plugin. Now I wonder what other plugins would do the things I want to do.

And I was led to believe that WordPress was such an easy thing to use. All day yesterday spent on trying to put code into one ad space and cannot do it and no one in these forums can tell me how to do it. That is hard for me to believe.

Pasting the code into the text theme does not work.

I tried that. It doesn’t work. The only thing that shows up is my title. And I don’t want a title. I want the Google Ads to show up.

Well, it says custom, so I assume it’s custom. And I have no idea where to go to get any info on it.

The widget is the “Custom 120×240 Ad”. “A widget that allows the display and configuration of a single 120×240 Banner.”

Unfortunately, I can’t find a place to configure it. All I can find is the widget page to drag and drop it.

AdSense provides an HTML code to place within my ad space and I am trying to find a way to place this code into the ad space.

I don’t get anything from your response. I am looking for how to put my AdSense CODE into the sidebar widget. Where can I find the source to paste this code?

I don’t want another widget until I place an ad in the existing 120 x 240 widget. I am trying to find out how to do that. Then I’ll work on dragging another widget over for something else.

The websites seem to be legitimate. However, the email addresses are all very similar to this one- they are bogus. How can I block these “comments” with these fake email addresses from posting a comment on my site. I am not a designer or programmer, so I am in need of some help. Thanks.
