In reply to: How to delete thousands of categories at once ?Is there another way than to do it from the dashboard ? I have over 3000 categories in there, and trying to delete batches of 500 categories at a time seems to invariably fail. I always get to an error page, ect.

In reply to: How to delete thousands of categories at once ?Thank you !
Yes, I guess the plugin was responsible, I deactivated it and that fixed my layout issue.
Ah, actually, I think deactivating the Google Analytics plugin fixed it. I just needed to clear the cache in all these browsers before I could see the changes. Yay!
I tried other themes, the links act normally there. But if it’s not the GA plugin, but the theme I’m using, I see nothing in the templates that should be adding these tracking tags. I’ve been using that theme ever since the blog’s creation. I’ve changed nothing to it that would do this to the blogroll links.
I’m thinking that might be the Google Analytics plugin, it has a “Track outbound clicks & downloads:” checkbox in its settings. But I unchecked it, deactivated the plugin, and the sidebar still shows all weird.

In reply to: [WP-PageNavi] [Plugin: WP-PageNavi] Can't activate plugin: Parse Error.Hi,
I’m having this same issue. Strangely, I have 6 different installs of WP on the server, and the plugin works flawlessly on 2 of them, but I get the parse error when trying to activate the plugin on the 4 others.
When I checked the PHP version, it gave me this text “string(5) “4.4.8””. So I guess that’s the version of PHP I have. I wonder, though, that it works in some of my installs, and not others… Is there no way to make page-navi work with lesser versions than PHP 5 ?

In reply to: [Plugin: FeedWordPress] Latest 2010.0531 updates won’t work..I’ve not had the blank page problem, but feedwordpress has stopped syndicating wordpress-hosted blogs for me over a week ago. There have been several updates made since, but none that fixed it. I tried to contact Radgeek several times but didn’t have a response. ??

In reply to: FeedWordPress Not Pulling In New Storieschristo.ebe, actually, the only feeds I’m having trouble getting udpated are the wordpress-hosted blogs. They’re the only ones that suddenly stopped udpating 4 days ago; trying to update manually doesn’t work either. However, any other type of blogs are updating fine (blogspot, tumblr, self-hosted wordpress blogs…)

In reply to: FeedWordPress Not Pulling In New StoriesI have this problem too and I don’t have the Duplicate post plugin that was mentionned. I did notice the only blogs that fail to get udpated for me are wordpress-hosted blogs, others seem to be fine. I updated to the new version that was uploaded today, and keep having the same issue. The only thing that has changed is that now it doesn’t just say there were 0 updates available but actually states when it fails to pull a feed with this message: Feed error: WP HTTP Error: Couldn’t resolve host ‘blog-name.wordpress.com’ – it states this for each of the wordpress-hosted blogs in my blogroll.

In reply to: [Plugin: FeedWordPress] Connection Failed ErrorYou probably need to copy these two files from the MagpieRSS-upgrade folder of feedwordpress, rss.php and rss-functions.php, into the wp-includes folder on your ftp server. Chances are it’ll work after that.
Mind, every once in a while, you will need to perform the operation again if you’re having problems adding anymore feeds. I suspect these files may get overwritten when you update other plugins along the line. But it’s just a wild guess…

In reply to: [Plugin: FeedWordPress] cannot get the plugin to work at allHi,
I installed the plugin on a fresh wordpress install version 2.7.1, had that problem and worked it out fine after doing as instructed above. It’s been all working fine up until April 1st when it totally stopped updating the feeds. I have gotten 0 new posts to show since that day, for no reason that I can fathom since I didn’t change any setting or manipulate any files on the ftp server either.
Also now, when I try to add a new feed, it always says: Error: I couldn’t find any feeds at https://torridwear.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss [HTTP request error: name lookup timed out]. Try another URL
I don’t know what happened to break the feeds ? Please, help ? ??
