Usually ftp clients should be set to auto .. but you can have a point there..

delete your own cookie ?

make sure all paths regarding the audio-player-wordpress-plugin are correct

try use your old wp-includes/gettext.php

could be your plugins, maybe .. move your plugins temp to another dir and try again .. then move them back and activate them again
