In reply to: [Syntax] Type broken in Chrome after 3.9 upgradeThanks. Sadly, the type only looks good at 110% and above and breaks up at 100% and below. I turned off all extensions and rebooted because I have Google hangouts in the background and I wanted to make sure I got a clean no-extension start for Chrome.

In reply to: [Syntax] Type broken in Chrome after 3.9 upgradeHere is the screen shot. I’m comparing how it looks in FF and Chrome. Thanks for telling me about how to link to it.
https://christopherrichards.com/?attachment_id=1011As mentioned above, the type rendering has improved (?), but as you can see from the screen shot, it doesn’t look as good as is should. It still breaks up when zooming in Chrome.
I don’t have Merriweather installed. Thank you again. I looked at all your suggestions but none are applicable. I’m glad there is some improvement.

In reply to: [Syntax] Type broken in Chrome after 3.9 upgradeKathryn,
Thank you so much. I’ll tryout all of your suggestions as soon as I can get to it, late today or tomorrow. I’m using W7 and downloaded and did a new install of Chrome today. For some reason (happily) the text looks better now but as soon as I change the zoom (currently 110%) to 100% the headline type becomes ragged. It wasn’t just the type I see, the menu icon was distorted, too. But not right now. Will upload screen shots.

In reply to: [Syntax] Type broken in Chrome after 3.9 upgradeI checked the demo Syntax theme on another computer in Chrome and the same type problem is there, so this looks not to be specific to my website or my child theme but to the theme itself. I love this theme and don’t want to have to change it. I’m probably not the only one with this issue.

In reply to: [Syntax] Type broken in Chrome after 3.9 upgradeThis looks like some problem between Google Fonts and Chrome, but I don’t know much. And it does seem to break up more or less when zooming. 100% zoom looks bad.

In reply to: [Syntax] Type broken in Chrome after 3.9 upgradeI’m using a child theme, but the same type issue happens when I switch back to the native Syntax 1.01 theme and when I preview it. The site type looks somewhat better at 110% but this still seems a problem. I reinstalled Syntax but still no luck. I have two monitors so the same type ugliness happens on both. I have another site and it manifests the same problem.

In reply to: Images will not display correct sizeI removed this from style.css.
/*article .the-content img {
width: 100%;
height: auto;This was preventing correct image sizing*/

In reply to: Monitor Clicks on Links?I couldn’t get that plugin to work. It might be a plug in but I think it needs some serious PHP knowledge to get it to work. I need a plug in that just plugs in.
Thanks.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Static section at top to contain text and linksThanks alpaoide, I want the static content to appear at the top underneath the banner where the site name is, and where you click to go back to the home page or start screen or whatever its called on a blog. I want the ability to change the text in the same way I can in a static page.
This would be a div of about 250px in height that is as wide at the regualar text area.Banner
