Also, floating it right works…except I lose the padding below the menu and the order of the menu items is lost.

My situation fell under the first scneraio and the first bullet point:

If database and URL remains the same, you can move by just copying your files and database.

I copied the entire directory up. Is the DB in that directory? If not, I did not copy that.
