    Hey there…

After some trial and error, we believe this was a problem with the way that Qtip was interacting with our theme. Here is the workaround so far. For the record, I’m a designer and not a programmer, so I’ll do my best to relay what I’ve been told. ??

He said that qtip has multiple settings for position, and the calendar plugin has position->target as the automatic setting. [currently set to $(i) in the default-calendar.min.js file found in assets]

He modified the js to change that position setting to position->mouse instead, which seems to play with our theme in a much friendlier way. Future releases of the calendar plugin may reset that js file, so when we update we’ll have to make sure that js file continues to be modified.

He mentioned that having an option in the plugin that toggled that setting between those two options may help other theme users having issues too.

Thanks! Looks like we have a workaround for now.

I’m still trying to figure this out. I did go through the troubleshooting steps and couldn’t resolve it. I’m wondering if this may be a qtip issue and has something to do with what the hover point is “mounting itself” to, which could be significantly different from theme to theme. I do believe that the problem is theme related, and may be caused by the parallax function on the page.

I’m working with a programmer to find a solution and will post it if we find something useful. Thank you for your followup!

For me, the problem happens in Chrome, but does not happen in firefox. It seems to be happening with multiple themes from what I’m reading above, but am wondering if there’s a fix, since I love your plugin and it works smoothly in every other way.

A temporary URL which shows the problem (site is still being designed)…

Again – it works correctly until I begin to scroll down. The further I scroll, the lower the hover command creates the popup.

Same here. Currently designing a new site in Salient. The popup box when you hover over an event works great before you scroll. If you scroll a little, the box will popup far lower. If you scroll further, the hover box will appear lower. If you scroll a whole page down, the hover is so far off of the page that it can’t be seen. Any easy way to remedy this? many thanks!

I can’t currently give you a link to the site we are developing, but the issue is certainly the same as the ones listed above.
