I’m using the jQuery Tools library on one of my websites and there’s been an issue running it alongside news-ticker also. If I disable the jQuery moviescreen slider, the ticker works, if not, the ticker just displays the list like you describe here. I’ve put in a troubleshooting ticket at jQuery Tools, if/when I get a solution, I’ll post it back here.
